Adam's P.O.V.
I can hear the whispers....
I can feel the glares burning me....
I can sense the fear and sarcasm....
As I walk down the long hallway towards my locker. They all stare and laugh. Crumpled up papers and pencils are thrown at my head. "Loser." some kids snark.
Trying my best to ignore them, I walk with my head down. The black hood of my sweatshirt hides my face from everyone. When I open my locker, thousands upon thousands of notes tumble out.
Death threats. Ignoring the threats, I slam my locker shut and rush to my first class.
"Adam? Class doesn't start for twenty more minuets." Mr. Lang assures me.
"I know but, do you mind if I come in?" I say under my breath as if I'm scared.
"Ah, bullies again?" he sets down a stack of papers on his desk. I remain silent and just stare out the window. Droplets run down the window, changing it from a clear glass to a foggy mess. The rain sounds like little fire crackers that are barely dropping on the roof. The dimmed lighting makes me tired. I sit down at a desk and lay my forehead flat on it's surface.
"They're just jealous," he mutters.
"Of what?"
"Well, you are intelligent, you're in a band, you can sing, you can play many instruments, and you're good looking," most people don't know this, but Mr. Lang was my babysitter when I was four.
"So, I'm a loser, I'm freakishly tall, have huge hands and feet, and too shy to talk to anyone." I frown. He frowns to and opens the classroom door. The rest of class, I don't raise my hand or speak. I just stare straight at the board like a sore loser.

Finally, it's my last class which happens to be my favorite, music class. Basically, my whole life is revolved around music. I sit down and browse around the room.
Then my eyes land on her.
Callie....
She's the most beautiful girl in the school and the most popular. Every boy in the school wants to date her, and every girl wants to be her. A part of me wants her to sit next to me, but if she does I know I'll do something weird or embarrassing.
Next thing I know, she's placing her hot pink backpack on the chair next to mine. "Hey, is this seat taken?" her soft voice speaks.
I shake my head and stare the other way. "I'm Callie." she introduces.
"I'm Adam," I shyly say in a quiet voice. Oh god, I'm blowing it! Should I talk to her? What if I say something weird or bad?
"Are you a senior?" she asks. Course, that's what everyone thinks cause I'm so freakishly tall. Her brown bouncy curls flick to the side when a man comes and sits down next to her.
"What are you doing talking to this loser Cal?" his broad shoulders make him appear very buff and scary. The way his brown hair flips upward like a wave, makes his clover eyes pop out more.
"Jake, not now." she says through gritted teeth. Jake smirks and walks over to me. Shoving my head to the desk, he laughs at my weakness.
"Leave him alone you jerk!" Callie stands up and grabs Jake's shoulder before he can hurt me anymore. Jake huffs and heads in the other direction.
"Sorry bout that. He's just my psycho ex." she apologizes while sitting back down.
"It's fine," I whisper with my head buried in my arms on my desk.
"Are you okay?" she asks me. I look up and find myself staring deep into her chocolate eyes. I nod and remain quiet as usual.
"Back to my question, are you a senior?" I shake my head.
"I'm a junior." I quietly speak. Her faces lights up and she a smile forms in the corner of her mouth.
"Me too." she looks into my jade eyes.
Hey guys! This is the first chapter and I'm sorry that I suck at writing. Oh well, it should get better eventually. Hope you enjoy it!
