Christen's POV

I woke up to a splitting pain in my head. What the hell happened last night? The only thing I remember was talking to Tobin and then going into the kitchen with her to get Alex's phone. After that it's all fuzzy. "You're awake" I was immediately snapped out of my thoughts as Tobin walked towards me with advil and a bottle of water. "Oh god you're a life saver Tobs" I groaned as I quickly downed the pills. "So what the hell happened?" I asked putting my head in my hands. "You don't remember?" She kind of had a sad look on her face. "No not really" "oh" was the only response I got from her, strange.

Tobin's POV

She doesn't remember. I know it was a long shot by holding out hope for her to remember. I just really wanted a second chance to kiss her. God why didn't I do it in the kitchen? "..so how does that sound? Tobs? Tobin!" I heard, bringing me back to reality. "Wha-yeah? What's up?" I stuttered giving her my full attention. "Do you want to hang out today?" I gave her a big grin and nodded before grabbing my phone to check the time. "Oh shit! It's already 1:00, I wonder where everyone else is." I walked downstairs with Christen following close behind, to see that everything had been cleaned up and put nicely back into place. I went into the kitchen and saw a note on the counter that read: "Tobs, we cleaned everything up and decided to let you sleep. Thanks for hosting the party. See you at practice. -Carli". I laughed at the fact that Carli took it upon herself to clean everything up. "So" I started, turning towards Christen "I have an idea on what we can do". She smiled "okay, let me get my keys and we can-" I cut her off "oh no no, your car won't be needed". I bolted upstairs and came back down in record time, holding two of my longboards. "You're insane" Christen looked at me in shock "there's absolutely no way you're going to get me to ride one of those".

Before she knew it, we were downtown and I was trying to teach her how to longboard. "No Chris, you put your left foot here, and then push with your right. Then lean to turn" I couldn't help but laugh at how distraught she would get. She looked adorable all bundled up, it had started snowing so it was getting harder to skate on the sidewalks. "You make it look so easy!" Christen called as she picked herself up from the ground once more. "It takes a lot of practice" I smugly teased. I hopped off of my board, picked it up and walked back to her. "Okay stand on the board" I said, holding my hands out for her to grab. "Alright, now I'm just gonna walk and all you have to do is keep your balance". She nodded and held onto me for dear life. "See look! You're kinda doing it" I cheered, looking towards her to see her blush. I guess I wasn't paying much attention because I kinda hit a light pole and fell. "Maybe if you practiced more you wouldn't fall like that" Christen joked as she passed me.

Christen's POV

We somehow managed to wind up at the diner. "How convenient we made it to our place" Tobin smiled as she walked in the front door. Our place? I couldn't help but grin. "Girls! Welcome back!" Margot called as we shook the snow off of our shoes and took off our jackets. We headed to the booth and sat across from each other, like before. We ordered our food and ate in silence before she broke it. "You didn't do too bad on the boards" Tobin said with a smile. "Yeah well, I learned from the best" I joked back. "You're pretty when you smile" she started, not realizing what she had said. "I-I mean you're always pretty! Not just when you smile, it's just I uh, I really like it when you smile" she tried covering up but it just made her turn even more red. "Thanks Tobin" I quickly looked down, trying not to let her see me blush. I felt a hand reach over and brush the hair out of my face. We locked eyes and stayed that way for what felt like forever until we heard someone clear their throat. "Well I hate to break this up girlies, but it's closing time" Margot chimed in with her cheery voice. Closing time already? How long were we like that? Tobin laughed nervously before she grabbed my hand and led me outside. "So" she began "I should probably get you home huh?". "No not quite yet" I held my breath, hoping she'd agree. "That's fine by me, your parents just can't be mad at me for keeping you out so long" Tobin joked before hopping back on her longboard.

"Try to keep up Press" she called behind her as we both went speeding down a hill. I'm not going to lie, I was going a little too fast for my liking. Tobin stopped with ease at the bottom but I couldn't. I went hurtling down the sidewalk and almost smack into a street sign, but instead I ran into Tobin, who fell back into a pile of snow. "Ow Press you trying to kill me?" She questioned, keeping her usual smile. "Well if someone would've taught me to stop better, it wouldn't have happened" I joked back. At the same time we both noticed that I was practically on top of her. We locked eyes and sat there until I broke the silence. "Tobin?"
"Yeah Chris?" She started to tilt her head as if she was adjusting to hear better. Right as I caught her off guard I dropped a pile of snow on her face before running away. "Really?" She laughed. "That's what you get for making me ride that death trap" I said as she approached me once again. "Yeah but you didn't have to hit me in the face with a snowball!" Snowball? Snowball. I remember. "SNOWBALL! Tobin! Snowball!!" I said excitedly as she gave me a questioning look before it immediately changed to surprise. "Y-you remember?" She asked, sounding dumbfounded. "I remember" I said before I grabbed her neck, pulling us closer together. She wrapped her arms around my waist and I couldn't help but just stare at her. "Chris if you don't-" I cut her off by locking our lips together. She seemed tense at first but loosened up a bit. "I want to" I said after we finally broke apart. I kept my hand on the side of her face, not wanting to loose connection with her. She was glowing and all I could think of was how much I liked her. "Well" she cleared her throat "as much as I really hate to do this, I need to get you home. I don't want to make a bad first impression on your parents" I jokingly whined and held onto her. "I don't wanna go Tobyyy". "I know, I know, but I have to." She said as she started letting go of me. What surprised me what that she didn't skate away. "Alright hop on" she said, signaling for me to jump on her back. "I know I'm not gonna be able to get you to walk or skate so let's go". I giggled at her ridiculous plan to get me home, but I obliged. I hopped on her back before she handed me one of the longboards and she carried the other.

We made it to my house and I hopped off of Tobin's back with ease. "Do you want to come in?" I asked. She simply nodded and followed me up the steps. "Christen! Is that you honey?" My mom called as she made her way to the door. "Oh! Hello, nice to meet you I'm Stacy, Christen's mom" she said, extending her hand out to the girl beside me. "I'm Tobin, Tobin Heath. It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Press" she smiled and shook my moms hand. My mom looked at me with a surprised look and leaned in to whisper something to me. "Is this the one? If so I approve. She's very polite" I simply nodded before I turned to give Tobin a reassuring smile. Just then, my mom spoke once more "So Tobin, would you like to stay for dinner?"
