"I'm... a... good... girl..."

Sitting alone at the table on her first day at school was a fifteen year old girl called Cecelia. She fiddled with a lock of her wavy brown hair, doing nothing. She was silent. Not eating, not playing on her phone, nothing. Suddenly she was approached by two girls. The first had blonde straight hair with a silver star clip pinned in and light baby blue eyes. The second had black wavy hair and brown eyes hidden behind a pair of hipster glasses.
"Would you mind if we sat with you?" The blonde girl asked, catching the attention of Cecelia. The brunette shook her head and moved her bag on to the chair beside her. "Thank you. Oh, we should introduce ourselves. I'm Bella, and this is my friend Lana." The blonde girl introduced herself and her friend.
"I'm Cecelia. It's nice to meet you both." Cecelia smiled at them both. Bella nodded, having a sip of water from the bottle in her bag as Lana texted someone on her phone.
"It's nice to meet you too. What brings you here halfway through the year anyway?" Bella asked, starting up a conversation with the new girl. She was curious about her and where she came from.
"I had to move because of my mum's job." Cecelia explained to her. Bella nodded understandingly. She'd moved to this town when she was younger for the same reason, and could relate to Cecelia's situation. She had nobody before Lana. The conversation continued for a while before the bell for class went. Cecelia had different classes to Lana and Bella, so they had to split apart for the time being.
"See you tomorrow!" Bella told her brightly as she and Lana walked away from her. Cecelia smiled softly, her cheeks turning the slightest bit pink. She was really looking forward to spending more time with Bella now.

That night, Cecelia sat up in her bedroom with all the lights off on her laptop. A notepad and pen was placed beside her for taking notes. She wasn't doing any homework, she was on Bella's social media accounts trying to figure her out. She'd only known her for a short while, but was already desperate to be part of her world. It seemed like so much fun.
"Dinner's ready." Her mum announced, entering the bedroom. Cecelia didn't even look up from her laptop. She was acting like she was completely invested in homework.
"I'm busy with homework. Can you set it aside so I can heat it up when I'm done?" She asked. Her mother nodded and left her in peace. A smirk formed on Cecelia's face the moment the door closed. Now she could be alone with her 'studying'.

The next lunch time Cecelia went straight to the same cafeteria, sitting at the same table waiting for Bella to arrive. She kept waiting and waiting, until she arrived.
"I've been looking everywhere for you. Come on, we're heading up to the rooftop." Bella told her, grabbing her hand and pulling her up. Cecelia was surprised that the rooftop was even accessible to students, but she was about to be proven wrong.

The rooftop was quite a pleasant place to be. There were benches with soft pillows and potted plants all around. The view of the town was pretty decent too. Sat waiting already was Lana, who was on her phone.
"I would've called you, but I don't have your number and couldn't find any of your social media accounts." Bella explained, sitting down beside Lana. Cecelia nodded, sitting on the other side of Bella.
"I don't have social media." She explained. She had her reasons, but she wasn't comfortable sharing them with anyone. Certainly not Bella.
"Well, that's gonna have to change if you're having out with us." Lana told her playfully, putting her phone in her bag so she could have a proper conversation. Cecelia nodded, deciding she would make an Instagram account that evening.
"Speaking of, do you wanna come over tonight?" Bella asked. "It's girl's night, and me and Lana always hang out together. You're welcome to join if you want."  She told her. Cecelia was shocked that she'd been welcomed into the group with such open arms. Not like she was complaining, however. She nodded, smiling brightly.
"I'd like that a lot."

That evening, Cecelia found herself in Bella's bedroom with her and Lana. Empty pizza boxes surrounded the girls.
"This is getting boring, I'm inviting the guys over." Lana said, grabbing her phone which was placed beside one of the pizza boxes. Cecelia sighed quietly, looking down.
"You don't like that idea, Cece?" Bella asked curiously. The brunette shrugged, deciding to just be honest with Bella.
"I thought it was a girl's night. I kinda like it just being us." She admitted, fiddling with a lock of brown hair. Bella nodded slowly as Lana put her phone back down.
"I suppose you're right. We can invite the boys over tomorrow or something." She said casually. Bella got up and grabbed a large bottle from the back of the wardrobe.
"We can still have fun though." She smirked and set the bottle down in the middle of them. It was obvious to Cecelia that the contents of the bottle was alcohol. "Don't tell me you've never had alcohol before." Bella asked Cecelia, noticing the look on her face. She shook her head softly.
"I haven't, no." She told her. Cecelia shrugged and grabbed a few cups that were also hidden in the back of her wardrobe.
"First time for everything, right?" She said, pouring a cup for all three of them. Cecelia took the cup and smiled awkwardly, drinking along with the other two. For the first time, Cecelia felt truly accepted and part of the group. It was euphoric for her, and she never wanted this to go away.
