The princess had grown used to the dragon, after longer then she knew, but she never grew comfortable
She'd fell into rhythm with the monster that trapped her
She wake up and hope she'd be free for a day
And just when she started to feel it was gone, maybe for good this time
(she thought that every time)
The dragon would sweep in and watch her, all day long
It hadn't attacked the princess, no not for a while
But she knew when it finally did, it wouldn't end well
So she stayed in the rhythm, the dragon watching, both silent
Until she started think she might, just maybe, be safe in her new life
