We all sat on the sofas in the front lounge and waited for Joel and Benji to get here. Jen had messaged me to say that she'd catch up with me later because I needed to be here for this meeting.
I was cuddled up with Awsten on one couch when there was a knock on the door. I sat up straight as Mikey opened the door, inviting the managers in. I moved closer to Awsten so they could sit beside us.
"Hey guys. Nice to meet you Hales." Joel said, shaking my hand and Benji followed. I thanked them.
"You too." I said, squishing up to Awsten so I was practically sitting on his knee. He didn't seem to mind though. I put my arm around him to keep myself steady and they all started talking.
"You were amazing earlier! Did you get some good pictures then Hales?" I nodded and stood up to get my camera that was in the back bedroom. I walked through as they started to talk.
They stopped talking when I came back though, which made it pretty apparent that they were talking about me. I shrugged it off and connected my camera to my laptop sitting on the coffee table. It instantly loaded up and I turned the laptop around to show the men. They nodded.
"They're really good!" They both agreed. I smiled and unplugged the camera, closing the laptop over and sitting back down beside Awsten.
Everyone kept talking, mainly about stuff I never understood. I checked my watch and it was only 4pm. I closed my eyes and opened them again, a thing I did randomly when I was bored or tired. Awsten lay his arm around the back of my neck and my shoulders, pulling me closer. I smiled and lay my head on his shoulder.
Then my phone buzzed, showing a notification.
Jen- Hey Hales. Has the meeting finished yet? If so, could you please meet me at the same place we met earlier? And bring your camera.
I sighed and stood up.
"I need to go meet Jen at the stage, is it okay if I slipped out?" Everyone nodded and Awsten stood up.
"I'll go with her, just incase she gets mobbed." Everyone agreed and we both left. As soon as we got outside, Awsten gave me a peck on the cheek and I blushed, feeling his hand touch mine as we walked. He never grabbed it, but it was enough to make me feel butterflies.
When we got to the stage, Jen was standing at the table that had been set up all day.
"Hey Hales, and Awsten, I have some news." I looked at her as we walked closer.
"Good or bad?" I asked her, looking over at Awsten.
"Well, both, depending on how you look at it. We only need you for half of the tour, then Jawn will be back." I felt tears come to my eyes, still looking at Awsten. He looked shocked.
"A-are you sure that we couldn't just have two photographers?" Awsten asked her, and she shook her head.
"We only need one, it's the last tour so we don't want to get Hales' hopes up for coming back next year." I sighed, feeling the tears run down my face.
"You seriously can't be that attached already Hales. You have barely known the guys what, four days? They're not going to miss you-" Awsten cut her off.
"Yeah, we are. She's became part of our parx family and we don't want to loose her!" Awsten shouted.
"That's all I had to say, so you guys can go now." I nodded and tried to wipe the tears, turning away from her.
"Haley, it's okay." Awsten tried to comfort me once we got back to the bus. I shook my head.
"I'm only gonna know you a month. You're gonna forget all about me once I go home, you're gonna have a good time and move on." I said, sobbing. He pulled me into a hug and let me cry.
"Shh, baby it's going to be okay. I'm going to go make a phone call, is that okay?" He said, holding my head to his chest.
"Hmmh." He moved my head away and kissed my forehead before laying me down on the bed. I smiled a bit as he walked out, pulling his phone out of his pocket.
-Awsten's POV-
"Look, Joel she can't go." I said through the phone.
"Awsten, I'll see what I can do." I nodded even though he couldn't see me.
"Thank you, I just, I'm not ready to lose her yet." A tear fell from my eye.
"I'm sure it'll be okay, you should probably get something to eat." Joel advised so I thanked him and we ended the call. I wiped my eyes and my face before walking back into the bedroom. Hailey looked up at me with hope in her eyes. I sat beside her.
"Joel's gonna try and see what he can do. He's gonna fight for you." I wiped a tear from under her eye. She nodded and smiled, letting me kiss her forehead.
"I guess we should probably get food." She agreed so we stood up and walked through to the front lounge.
"We're gonna get food, what do you guys want?" Awsten asked everyone who were all sitting on their phones.
"Uh, Awsten I don't think you should go together. Look at this." Mikey turned his phone around to Awsten and Awsten widened his eyes.
"Here, Hale, look." He passed the phone to me. I stood, shocked. It was a picture of me and Awsten kissing, through the bus window. It was on twitter with the headline "Awsten's new photographer friend?" I gasped and handed Mikey back his phone. Then Awsten got a phone call from Joel. He answered, put it on speaker and sat it on the coffee table.
"Awsten! Thank fuck, have you been on twitter?"
"Well no, but Mikey showed me the picture." Awsten said, burying his head in his hands.
"Is-is it real?" Awsten nodded but obviously Joel couldn't see him. So I answered for him.
"Yeah, it is." I said, putting my arm around Awsten's shoulder when we both sat down.
"Oh, Hales is there too. That's good." He didn't say it sarcastically.
"We're all here." Geoff said, followed by Mikey and Otto saying hey.
"Okay, great. Have you eaten yet?" Joel asked us.
"No not yet, Hales and I were just about to when we heard the news." Joel sighed.
"Okay, I'll bring you guys food and we can talk. What do you want?" We all looked at each other before Awsten spoke.
"Erm, McDonalds?" We all nodded.
"Yeah McDonalds. Just get us five Big Macs, five large fries and five large Cokes. Please." He added in at the end which made me giggle.
"Yeah, okay. I'll be there soon." We thanked him and hung up. We all looked at each other and didn't say a word until Joel got there.
