I opened my eyes lazily and stared up at the ceiling. A vague, hazy expression clouded my face as I sluggishly crawled out from under my covers. The door opened, creaking, and my mum poked her head inside. "Oh! You're awake!" she said "I thought I'd have to wake you up!" I nodded in recognition as she closed the door, creaking once again.
My uniform was laid out on top of my chair. Little wrinkles could be traced throughout my white shirt. I slid my arms through the sleeves, and the socks up my legs. I was already used to the routine, but I still couldn't tie my tie, so my dad always left it done for me so that I'd just have to slide it over my head and close it around my neck. Truly, the uniform was quite stifling and formal with a blazer and a skirt, but I always thought that the worst of it was the tie. That tie... that tie was the equivalent of a dog's collar to me, the knot on the neck of a hanged man, the leash that kept me from speaking.
The door protested as I pushed it open and stepped outside of the room. One, two, three, four, five. Five steps. Another elongated protest of an opened door. Six, seven, eight steps.
I analyzed the face of the girl in front of me. Long face, hazy wide eyes, dark (oh, so dark!) irises that seemed to merge with the pupil, foxy nose, plump lips. The girl stared back at me in disdain and followed my movements with the most beautiful accuracy as I took a comb into my hand. Her tormenting mimicry went on as both our faces scrunched up as the dark strands snapped and pulled from our scalps.
Sighing I set the comb down. I once again stared at the girl. I smiled. She smiled right back. I frowned. She frowned right back. I waved. She waved right back. It was strange. Although I knew that no matter what I did she'd do it right back, I still tried to find a flaw in her movements. I never did. I smiled at her, wryly, one last time, watching as she did the same. I turned around. I left.
Through the hall to the living room, my feet were dragged. A round weight sat on my back, two straps pulling at my shoulders. I swung the weight off my shoulders landing it roughly against the wooden floor. The time was 6:30. Five more minutes and I'd have to leave. But five more minutes are not enough for me to eat.
Slouched on the sofa I looked straight ahead and waited for time to pass me by. A warm furriness rubbed on my leg. A relaxing feeling washed over and a soft mew ringed in my ears. Looking down two honeyed eyes stared up at me. Gently I traced her back down to the base of her tail. She purred. When she asked me to be touched and when she demonstrated her happiness to be with me, those were the times when I was the happiest.
That happiness, however didn't last long. A high pitched ring sounded, scarring my beautiful lady and causing her to run off. I cursed the alarm under my breath and looked at my watch. Six thirty five, time to go.
My feet were heavy as I moved slowly towards the front door. I stopped, my face inches from the door. Eyes closed, quiet breath. Eyes open, plastered smile. Quietly the door opened. Creaking the door closed.

Hi! So... this is my first story here on Wattpad, therefore I'm quite nervous.
Just so you know, English is not my first language, so I'd really appreciate it if you could bear with me and (PLEASE!!!) give me some feedback on my grammar and spelling and stuff.
Thank you so much for reading!
