It was the day of the dance and Alex and I were at my house doing homework when I got a text from him. He had figured out that I wasn’t going to stop when he told me to. He had texted me about the dance and told me that he was going to be early to pick me up. It was a good thing Alex had her dress with her. After all we prepared for the worst and she dropped it off at my house yesterday. My homework left unfinished I started to do my makeup and hair. Two hours later I walked downstairs to find Blake there. Looking stunning in his black suit and red tie, saying he was going for a specific music video look. After my mom took pictures, Alex, Blake, her date, and I walked to our cars and left my house.
‘I want to talk to you Caroline,’ Blake started. Shit, shit, shit, I’m sooo goddamned screwed. I thought. ‘I see that no matter how many times I say not to do it, you do it anyway. I’m done trying for you. I have given you everything I would have ever asked for in a person and how do you repay me. You treat me like a god but to yourself you say you are an ignorant, self-centered, overdramatic, bitchy type of person. I don’t know where you think you live or who you are but I don’t see why you treat yourself like this. Caroline I fucking care about you and I don’t want to walk into your room one day to find yourself dead, so this is over.’ Blake replied easily as if he’d practiced it over and over.
I was in tears and when I got the dance I slammed his car door shut and walked over to Alex’s ride. One look probably gave it away, I had stolen a look at my face in her car mirror before she realized I was there. I looked like a raccoon. I had all my makeup dripping down my face and thank god I had on a black dress. Her concerned face was all that I saw as my world blacked out.
