Two | cabin mate

"So here are all the girls cabins, the girls kinda get annoyed if you come to their side of the camp but it's whatever" Ethan said

He decided to show me the camp from the farthest side and back to our cabin which makes sense I guess because we kinda wanna go back to our cabin and hangout until dinner.

"So how old are you?" Ethan asked as we walked to the next place

"16, what about you?" I asked looking over to him

"16 too" he said with a chuckle "I love this camp because they have such a high age group before you can't be a camper and you need to be a counsellor" he added

"Being a counsellor sounds cool because you're getting paid to live here for a week and just watch a few kids" I said

"Yeah, I'm definitely gonna do it when I'm 17" Ethan said "oh yeah here's one of the secret entrances to the lake or shoreline" Ethan added as we passed a very small trail down to the beach which is in between trees

"And upcoming that giant building is the dinning hall, which is where we eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and after campfire snack" he said

I nodded looking at the big shaky like building

"It's a lot nicer inside trust me" Ethan said with a chuckle

I smiled and nodded

"So, why'd you come to this camp" Ethan asked

"My parents forced me to because I don't have a lot of friends at my school and tend to get bullied a little" I shrugged

"Oh, yeah I get you, I'm bullied a lot too" Ethan admitted

"Why? You seem great" I said

He shrugged "people at my school obviously don't see that, even a few people here like to mess with me but I don't really take it personally" Ethan spoke

I felt bad for him though I had just met him he seems like an amazing guy that I could get to be great friends with

"It might be because I recently came out" he said admitting something he obviously never really said out loud before

I looked over to him "I did that a few years ago, I'm still getting shit for it" I said with a laugh

He chuckle with me "great I have a lot to look up too" he said "also, don't tell anyone that you're gay because everyone here knows I am so if they know you are we might have to move cabins and I don't want that cause you're cool" Ethan said

I smiled and nodded

"Oh yeah, over there is the nurses office and games room, wanna go in?" He asked

I nodded and shortly we were walking towards it, as we walked past I saw a small basketball court which I'll definitely try to get Ethan to come to with me.

When we entered it was as if we found everyone from the camp cramped into this small room.

I looked around beside Ethan and walked over to the things that caught my eye like the photos.

"Oh no don't look at that one" Ethan begged, but of course I did anyway

I laughed as I looked at the photo, Ethan seemed so surprised the person had taken a photo of him, he genuinely looked adorable.

I looked over to Ethan who was hiding his face with his sweater, I smiled at him and looked at all the games in the room it's mainly all just fouseball, table hockey and table tennis.

"Want to continue the tour?" Ethan asked

I nodded and we left the building walking over towards the field again.

As we walked through the field I noticed things I hadn't noticed before like a baseball diamond and a volleyball court and even a small soccer/football field.

"This is where a lot of campers usually are too, well mainly the boys, the girls just make bracelets by the beach because the boys play to roughly" Ethan said

I nodded and chuckled a little as I watched a few boys who looked only about 10 playing soccer as they were almost wrestling for the ball.

When we had got back to the cabin I was so tired, who knew sitting on a bus and walking around could be so tiring?

"I have a speaker if you wanna play music?" Ethan said with a smile holding up the small speaker up

I nodded "play anything I honestly like any genre of songs" I said

"Alright" Ethan said as he plugged in his phone and sat in the middle of the cabin on the floor.

I walked over to him and sat beside him he played a song and once I heard the first few words I was surprised

"You like Tame Impala?!" I asked

"Yeah they are my favourite!" Ethan smiled

"I've never had a friend that likes the same songs as me this is great" I said with a smile

"I'm glad to be your first" Ethan said with a smile

A few minutes passed of us sitting in comfortable silence listening to our music before Ethan spoke

"We're your parents um... accepting?" Ethan asked

"Well I'm the first person in our family to be gay and they honestly didn't even know what it was which I found weird because it's 2018 but after I explained it just took them a while to process and then they were pretty ok with it, what about your parents?" I asked

"When I told them they made me move with my aunt for a few months, I didn't understand why but I guess their religion or beliefs don't believe in gays but then they changed their mind for me and let me move back in and they seem happy" Ethan said

"That's good, it would suck to have to live with your aunt for a long time knowing your prenatal may not accept you for who you are" I said

"Yeah, that's what I thought the entire time I was with my aunt, I asked her a lot why i was with her but she had no answers" Ethan said

Suddenly a loud bell was heard from far away Ethan looked outside to see everyone walking to the same place

"It's time for dinner, I believe" Ethan said

"Oh great! I'm starving" I said with a chuckle

Ethan smiled and turned off his speaker before getting up and walking down to the dinning hall with me. This is going to be an amazing week.
