Two bodies of a male and female mingled together, beside a dull lit flame crackling as small sparks fluttered to the ground. The woman twirled the man's hair, her delicate fingers twisted braids and runed beads into his untamed blonde hair. Her piercing blue orbits watched every move, a small smirk gracing her young face. "Ivar, you will look so handsome." She said, pulling his head backwards with the current braid, he hissed, glaring at her blues. She gave him a gentle peck on the lips, giving a small giggle as her soft lips left his rough ones. He turned around quickly, embracing her lithe body. She yelped, falling onto the ground, giggling as he placed kisses all over her neck and face. "Don't go..." he whispered, his eyes full of want. The loving atmosphere turned dull, the young woman turned her blue eyes from his, letting out a tired sigh. "You won't understand Ivar. My heart aches for freedom, aches for adventure...", She said, looking back at him, placing a longing kiss onto his lips once more. "But why, why now. He is so close...our son...", he said, he placed his hand on her swollen stomach, "Primitive is where you need to be...not out there. Not yet.", He spoke, bringing his hand to her chin, brushing his thumb against her cheek bone. She looked down, at her stomach. "Do you see what your father is doing, my little wolf." Ivar scoffed, rolling to his side. "My sweet, Ivar. I will be home before he is born. I swear to the gods that I will." Gunnvor whispered to him, turning to her side with a grunt. "I'll gather some Herbs and supplies for the pack while i'm gone." She said, her bottom lip quivered into a pout. Ivar sighed, his brows furrowed. "Alright...alright Gunnvor." He said. She wrapped her arms around him, planting eager kisses all over his face. "Thank you, thank you so much my love." She said, giggling as he tried to evade her persistent kissing. After the discussion, Ivar and Gunnvor finally settled down. The fire's light dancing against their sleeping bodies, two lovers in each others embrace.
_________Morning__________
Two dire wolves stood at the edge of the forest, the resident creatures making a ruckus, the typical colored brown and white colored Dire wolf stood close to the trees, her body shaking as she took a deep smell of the wooded area. The jet black Brute walked beside her. "Gunnvor...please be safe." He said, his blue eyes hid no denial of sadness. He rubbed his cranium against her neck, nipping at her tuffs of fur. "I won't be long, maybe five days?" Gunnvor said, her voice filled with excitement. Her attention went towards him as she saw leather cross her eyesight and feeling something weigh down on her neck- it was a raven's skull dipped into gold, etched with the norse symbol of protection "...your necklace...my love, I couldn't." She said, softly, her eyes filled with love. "Keep it until you return." He replied. She nodded, smiling as he gave her muzzle a lick. "I'll miss you every day, Gunnvor." He spoke. "I as well Ivar." She said.
The two nuzzled against one another, one last time before Gunnvor took off into the woods, her hide blended into the scenery. Ivar watched as she left, trying to ignore the feeling in the pit of his stomach, one last glance into the woods- Ivar turned around, heading back to his home and pack.
