Defects (A Star Wars Story)

Chapter 1

The clone troopers of the 555th legion get ready for their first mission, they were going to be meeting their Jedi General and head out, "I can't believe it, our first mission!" Sparky says

"Calm down Sparky, we want to make a good first impression for our General" Tek says, "Yeah, you're stupidity will get us all dishonorably discharged" Raze says

"Stop being so edgy Raze, it'll be like I'm not even here" Sparky says, "In my dreams" Raze says, "Can we not argue please?" Rusty asks, "Quiet! The General is here" Jack says

A beautiful human female with light brown hair and crystal blue eyes walks up to the clone army, "Greetings 555th legion, I am Jedi Night Dawn Osana, and I'll be serving as your General, I hope to get to know you all personally" the Jedi says, Sparky eyes widened and his jaw is metaphorically on the floor

"Wow" he whispers, Raze sighs, "Well, let's going, it'll be my first mission too, so I'm just as nervous as you" Dawn explains, "Yes General" Jack says, he puts on his helmet, the other clones do the same, the get onto the gunship, Sparky can't help but stare at Dawn

"First day and already he's found something to talk about for the next year!" Raze complains, "She's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen!" Sparky says, "She's a Jedi Sparky! She'd want someone worthy of her skills" Raze says, "Oh I'm worthy alright!" Sparky says

"Actually the Jedi aren't allowed to form attachments, that prevents them from being in relationships" Tek explains, "Damn!" Sparky says in a defeated tone, "Get ready boys, it's time!" Jack says, the gunship lands and they are met with blazing gunfire

"Just stay calm and we'll get through this, may the force be with you all!" Dawn says, she activates a blue lightsaber, "Remember your training!" Jack says, "Let's go!" Sparky yells, the clones charge into the combat, during the battle, things get intense, they lost several several clones, the Separatists are trying to push in, Sparky, Tek, Jack, Raze, Dusty and Dawn are stuck behind cover

"Dammit! We're pinned down!" Jack says, "What are we supposed to do now!" Raze asks angrily, "I have an idea" Tek says, "What is it Trooper?" Dawn asks, "I've been working on an electrical grenade that can cover a 3 mile radius" Tek explains, "Last time you tried to test something you blew up our quarters!" Raze says,

"Only because I miscalculated the capacity of Dusty's bomb" Tek says, "Try it" Dawn says, Tek throws the grenade and it detonates taking out all the battle droids, "Wow, it actually worked this time, nice job Tek" Jack says, "Yes, great job everyone, our first successful mission" Dawn says, the troopers smile under their helmets

Knowing that the battle is over, they take off their helmets, "I don't like calling you all by trooper, what are your names?" Dawn asks, "I'm Jack, Tek is the one that just saved us, Dusty is to the right of me, Raze is the moody one here, and-" "And I'm Sparky" Jack was cut off by Sparky, "Nice to meet you all, I look forward to all our future adventures" Dawn says

While heading back to their personal quarters, the five friends share the same room, Sparky and Dusty share a bunk, Jack and Raze share another bunk, and Tek has created his own cushion that he prefers to sleep on, they all take off their armor, "Our first successful mission" Sparky says, "I think it went pretty well" Dusty says

"We've come a long way boys, and now we must use our training and fight" Jack says, "I remember when we first started training" Tek says, "Yeah, Sparky was late on the first day" Raze says, "It wasn't my fault someone hid my helmet!" Sparky says, "I still don't know why they picked Jack of all people to be the captain, we were all the best in our class" Raze says

"Because Dusty is too polite, Tek would only confuse the other clones with his big words, you have no patience and Sparky is.. Sparky" Jack explains, "Yeah.. you have a point" Raze says, "Even though I'm the highest rank, that doesn't change the fact that you're all my brothers, to be honest you guys are only friends" Jack says

"And you'll always be the Jack that would suck up to the instructor" Sparky says. "I did not!" Jack says, "What are we going to do after the war is over?" Tek asks, "I don't know" Jack says, "For now, let's stick together, we don't know what will happen to us" Jack explains, "Here's to friendship" Dusty says, everyone holds up their helmets and they all clink them together
