I've never had much experience with boys.

Oh, it's not because I'm ugly, or mean, it's because I never really reached out there to be involved with one.

And believe me boys have tried, I just don't return the offer.

So when the amazing, popular, and incredibly attractive Connor Foyes asked me to study with him after school, I was ecstatic.

My mother wasn't.

"I don't know, honey. I don't think I feel comfortable leaving you alone here with a boy I've never met before."

I huffed, crossing my arms. "It's fine mom. He's a respectable boy-"

"Aren't they all?" She interpreted.

"And he and I just want to study. Nothing more."

She studied my face, and I puckered out my lower lip.

Mom sighed. "Fine. I'll have Carter tell me what really happens. Got it?"

My eyes widened. "No mom, no. He has to go over to someone's house or something."

"Lola Louis Lapman! Your brother is not a dog we can dispose of!" (Have I mentioned my stupid name?)

"I would argue it.." I mumbled to low for my mother to hear.

"He stays here. Or no study session."

Does she want to ruin my life? Obviously.

"Fine."

£££

It was Wednesday, and the test was Thursday. We know what that means.

"I can't believe he asked you to study with him! You have to tell me all of the details." Simone squealed at our lockers that morning.

I smiled. "It's not a big deal, it's just studying."

"Yeah. Study session." She said, shooting me a mischievous wink.

My eyes widend, than I regain my composure. "Got to go."

With that, I leave our melodramatic conversation.

Connor is coming over at three. And right before he walks through the door, I'm planned to warn him.

I ran around the kitchen, grabbing necessary snack assortments. Bowls of pretzels, and chips were on the table, along with water bottles. I added grapes too, in case he was the healthy type.

Ding dong!

I whipped my head up, and straightened my shirt. Walking to the door, I realized that Carter was here, and started to sprint to beat him.

But there was no sign of him. Great, so when Connor rang the doorbell, he heard someone sprinting like a stampede was currently taking it's place.

Wonderful!

I opened the door with a click after waiting a few moments, and saw him. I smiled, and happily sighed in my head.

Connor's brown, spiky hair glistened for some reason. His smile showed faint dimples, and lone freckles. I started into his deep brown eyes, and couldn't help but notice we were somewhat alike.

He had brown hair, I had brown hair.

He had brown eyes, I had.. Green eyes.

See? Not so far off.

"Hey Connor." I stepped outside quietly, and shut the door.

Connor flashed a grin. "Hey Lola."
