I let the arrow go, trusting in my skills and smarts to guide the arrow to the target. It flies through the forest air, swift and deadly, right into the tree next to the deer.

"Damn..." I whisper to myself. Though I missed him, best not to spook him with voicing my displeasure out loud. I brush a strand of long brown hair out of my vision and raise from my cover behind a moss covered boulder. The air is cold and biting against my face, it's a lovely day. I travel lightly to the tree where my arrow has buried itself and pull it out, without the head. Annoyed, I stuff the headless arrow into my quiver and make a note to mend it later.

What now? Should I continue after this deer or settle for what I have? I've managed to get a few rabbits, 4 to be exact, they dangle from my belt. I picked some berries and I also managed to peg a squirrel. I decide to go ahead and head back. I should manage to get a few coin for these. Atleast enough to get what mother requested I get today.

I start the trek back to the city, it shouldn't take long since I'm calling it quits so early. I break through the layer of brush that reveals the trail. If I go north I get home. South leads me to Dwarven land.

Dwarves. Their small but they are superb craftsman, and not as in they can make a good basket or they are able to carve a good wooden sculpture. No the Dwarves are best at machines. Metal contraptions used for digging their ore, fighting their wars. If you need it, a Dwarve can build it, for a very large price ofcourse.

While lost in thought about the Dwarves to the south, I completely didn't hear or realize that I am being tailed. A figure walks behind me in a black cloak with his head down, he isn't abnormally tall or stupidly short so he must be human. He does seem to be armed as I can see the sheath to a sword poking out the bottom of his cloak. Then I hear the rustling in the woods. Running. I cant tell how many but there's definitely more than one. I unbuckle my dagger and grip it tight.
