Prine of The Night

Pov Darick

I wait till it's dark to leave the castle and go to the wall again. I know what Cadmar said not to go on the wall but honestly I don't care.

I snuck through the town and climbed up the wall. I stood on the edge and looked up at the sky. The stars shined brightly. I heard someone walking up the stairs of the tower I was next to.

I ran across the wall. My feet slipped awhile running and I fell. I thought I was dead but I landed on something. "AH! GET OFF ME!" A boy said I got off the boy.

He was about my age. "Sorry" I said he stood up and brushed himself off. He picked up a crowd that I knew was from a different kingdom and put it on his head.

"What were you doing up there anyways?" He asked I stepped back and said "unlike you I can't leave my kingdom closest thing I get to freedom" I stepped on a secret button that warned the guards that someone was here.

He noticed me step back and stepped closer to me attempting to circle me. "Always do what your told?" He questioned. I moved away more. What is taking so long?! "Course not" I said

"I bet you do! Bet your daddy's little boy" he said I knew he was trying to get under my skin and it worked. I grabbed his neck. "I'm nothing like him" I growled.

He pulled my hand off his neck easily sense I didn't have a tight grip. "Oh really?" He asked I looked up the guards had noticed us. "Maybe you should look up" I said

I moved away as they pulled their bows back ready to shoot. He looked up. "Go ahead shoot me and there'll be another war. Do you really want that?" He asked

The guards froze. They knew it was true. The door opened in the wall and Cadmar came out. That kid was smirking. "There already is a war" Cadmar said he gestured for me to come so I did.

I heard something move in the bushes. Cadmar quickly took me inside. He hit me hard in the back my head almost knocking me off my feet.

"Owe!" I said "that's for not listening!" Cadmar said as he dragged me back to the castle. "Not going to tell my father?" I asked "no I'm done covering for you! Your father will hear about this" Cadmar said

I went to my room. I knew I had till tomorrow till Cadmar told him sense he would never wake Mike up.
