XI. Jace's cheek

"You don't believe me?"

"I might if you lend your brain to your friend. He seems in need of two. Though yours would hardly help I guess. In the other block. Lunch. Dance hallways." Going towards the door, leaving me with instructions, I held her hand and pulled her in, making her grasp.

"And since this important to you, it is to me too then. And we are together in this. I got this Sky. I got this."

The silence struck in the clock. Her gaze undisputed, fixed on my face. Cutting through the tension, knowing we were going to be late for class, I managed to say- "And Skylynn Kaiser was handed detention for entering the class fifteen minutes late because she was star struck by the beauty of Elvis Regan. How does that sound Sky? Good for tomorrow's headlines in the hallways right?" Wink.

And with this she shook her head in hopelessness and left.

So did I.

Lunch began and with Grayson and Jace, I took my lunch and walked towards the second block of the school. Our campus had three blocks out which this block was purely dedicated to extras. As Skylynn told me to reach the dance block and the other day when she had changed into the other outfit, I think she's a part of the dance team. I wonder how I never paid attention to that section of school teams. Football took it all from me I guess.

Jace was explained how he's going to get his chance to speak to Winter and maybe he can convince her, make her believe that he didn't dump Natalie to go in a relationship with her but rather try to explain her the worthless mess and misunderstandings created.

I had successfully managed to dodge the questions of how did I earn this chance for him or how is this happening. I wasn't keen into telling the boys about my recent interactions with Sky because they would make a buzz out of it where nothing existed for real. 

It doesn't. Right!?

Skylynn seemed like a low key person and I wouldn't let her be the topic of discussion if she doesn't want that.

But surprisingly Grayson managed to keep his wide mouth shut during whole of this episode.

He says, "I'm listening. I'm just not paying attention." Weird boy.

We reached the destination and it was funny how this all looked like a set for shoot where melodrama scene begins anytime. We saw Sky coming out of the hall and I was munching on my fries.

"The team's here I see." 

"It is girl. How's Been the lady?" Grayson said making a stupid attempt at being sweet. Jerk suits him better.

We all looked at Grayson questioning his sanity.

"Okay fine fine. We are here and so is our lover boy. Are we on?" Grayson said surrendering and his hands up.

"Better. So yea, Jace you can talk to her right? Like explain her with all the genuineness that you might have treasured." She looked optimistic but hints of nervousness.

I don't know if she was nervous for Winter or for Jace as if he could get slapped.

The thought of Jace being hit by winter made me laugh and I might have chucked when the three pair of eyes shifted to me.
