Thank you for clicking on this fic and your desire to read this.
Before you read, there are a few things I would like to mention about the Haikyuu!! Reader Disability Series:
The idea of this series came about because I do not often see stories where the reader and/OC has a physical impairment, and I wanted to be able to give people stories that are more than the standard reader and OC.
I am personally not disabled or have an impairment. All that I write is based on research, articles that I read about those who have the disabilities I chose to write about, and my idea of how the individual would feel about the situation.
My intention for this series is not to offend anyone who is disabled or who knows anyone who is. I apologize in advance if I do.
I have my own doubts when it comes to this series, and I had put off posting it for a long while. However, I've decided to post it for the chance that it will open up options for other authors and readers.
Any thoughts and comments you have, please give them respectfully. Like I said, I do not want to offend anybody, but If I do, do tell me.
Now, there are a few things to mention about this particular fic (Shiratorizawa):
This story will delve into the life of a person who has a trans-femoral amputation in their left leg, which is the amputation of the lower limb between the hip joint and the knee joint. The reader will have a prosthesis.
I will have the reader continue to be a runner because that is something they were passionate about before the accident, and I know that there are plenty of amazing runners who are amputees.
The reader's personality will be the same from when before she had the accident. The accident was tragic to her, and her sports career won't be the same. However, that doesn't mean I want her to be upset the entire time. She will have moments where she is sad, but I want her to still be as cheerful and compassionate as she was before.
My plan for this story is to be realistic, so I do intend to write angst. This is the story of about a young teenager who went through an accident, losing her leg in the process. Obviously, I don't intend for the entire story to be sad, but like I said, this fic is meant to depict something realistic.
The first chapter is the next page, and this is when she is in her first year and when the accident happens. The chapters from then on will be the reader in her third year at Shiratorizawa.
