She sat there, heart beating faster and faster as the cold metal cords around her started tightening. Somehow, she knew that it was her last moments in life before she would be wiped out of existance, like a speck of dirt on a window. Remembering her mission, she spotted a crack in the earth beneath her, and carefully dropped the tiny seed into it. As the metal bit into her skin, she closed her eyes and thought of him, her one and only. The one she had risked her life for in the first place. The one she would never see again. Feeling the hot blood gush from her throat and run down her bare neck, she took one last, calm breath. A single tear stole from the corner of her eye and ran down her cold cheek, dripped off of her chin, and landed in the palm of her still hands. As her captors came to remove her body, the tear slipped out of her hand and fell into the small crack into the ground. It burrowed its way down until it reached the seed. All there was left to do now was wait.
