A Blackwell Story

Beginnings

To start off a morning, is to at least attempt to create something here..so Kai was sleeping in bed, his head rested within the comfy sensation of his pillow as he was laying within

dreamland...inside his bed however, was something shuffling about, before he was soon feeling a poke at his chin, waking him up from his slumber as he stared down.

IT was a small boy, with bright red hair and hazel eyes like him, wearing a long white shirt that covered most of his body. His name was Samuel, or as we called him...Sammy.Sammy started to tug and pull at Kai's cheeks.

"Wake up! We have to go out today!"

Sammy told the man as he tried swatting Samuel away, who simply raised his hand and started to slap Kai on the face.

"Up!"

Kai groaned, staring up at Samuel.

"..Alright, alright..daddy's awake.."

Kai sat up, Sammy stood on his bed, he was a small boy, probably because he takes after his dad's height which is Kai...Kai is short, and he is sad by that fact.

Kai got up out of bed, he was wearing a black tanktop with silver basketball shorts.

"...Are you wearing one of my shirts son?"

"Yes sir!"

Samuel salutes.

"It makes me feel more adult!"

"...Right, well..it's too big on you..besides, being an adult isn't THAT fun Samuel, enjoy your childhood while you still have it okay? Besides, there's a lot of lucky things you can find when you're a child..trust me."

"Okay sir! Now! I head away to get dressed and showered!"

Samuel soon left the room, his arms out, pretending he was a plane...Kai simply cracked his back, going over to the side of the room, and out a glass door that was on the left hand side of his room to his balcony.

There he rested his arms on the railing, staring out to the sunset that was coming up..it should be known that Kai's house actually...isn't in a residential area, it's mostly within just a plain grassland, since it is private property that is surrounded in a square fence..however it was near a few places of course, with a few houses scattered around it, but in general, Kai's house is like the center house.

"Hmm..."
Kai was lost in thought for a few moments, till he snapped to reality, feeling a buzzing noise in his pants..he soon digged his hand within his shorts pocket, taking out a flip phone..Kai wasn't all that fancy when it came to phones of this weird generation, so he picked up the caller.

"Hello?"

"Hello brother."

A familiar voice was on the other line, it was his brother Ariel. An Albino, who is also a detective in training after passing his time as a police officer and solving a few cases on his own.

"Ah, hey Ariel..what's up?"

"Nothing much, reading the newspapers..seems scientists have found a break through, looks like humanity is going to see more advancements in the near future, exciting isn't it."

"Exciting? Maybe..hell, what's next, robotic animals?"

"We do have robotic police officers you realize that, this police headquarters, you know MOST people here are...cyborgnetically enhanced right? I'm one of the few that isn't, especially what happened with the corrupt government."

"I still wish you let us reveal our damn faces! Come on, all that credit!"

"Too much unnecessary paparazzi and various media on us, better to keep secret than to reveal our public faces as the two teens who broke into a government facility, in order to destroy the corruption, illegally."

"But the money."

"Material does not lead to true happiness Kai, you do realize that right."
