The Spiderkid

Chapter 1

Around this time every month, Peter was used to getting a call from his mentor Tony stark. Which gave him a new small opportunity to use his secret abilities to help other people. Peter was a good kid and loved being able to protect his city , but he was a little rough with doing it as well as his 'friends' the Avengers.

Peter was in his room, stirring up more web fluid and was trying to find a way to hack into his suits complex tech and destroy the Baby Monitor Protocol so he could hopefully catch a break from the ridiculous helicopter parent he called his mentor. Aunt May suddenly knocked on the door causing Peter to drop the unfinished web solution on his carpet burning a hole through it. "Peter, Honey! Mr. Stark is here to see you", she called. Quickly picking up the glass container he groaned in pain pretending he stubbed his toe, "Just a minute May", he left the suit to continue its thing and left the room, not realizing he was just in his boxers, and went out to see Tony. His sunglasses moved down his face and a fond yet exasperated chuckle came from him, which was earned, seeing as funny as Peter looked from his point of view. "Mr. stark, I was just uh......" he looked nervous and a bit at a loss for words. "Hey Kid, can we talk maybe somewhere more private," Tony replied glancing at May as he spoke. Peter immediately ran to his door and blocked it, on the other side was his suit being removed of Baby Monitor Protocol. "Um maybe we shouldn't go in there," Peter said sounding quite suspicious. Tony acted as if nothing was wrong, "Pete, I don't care if your room is a mess but I may have something for you to do this weekend for me." Peter grabbed Tony by the arm and dragged him down the hall to continue talking with him, he was not going to be happy with the "changes" he was making to his beloved suit.

Tony told him that he was going to be traveling with pepper for their anniversary, and that meant he was free from being babysat for awhile, or at least that's what he thought. "Happy will be checking on you, so don't do anything stupid or in other words, don't do anything I would do and definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do.Peter just nodded, the words Mr Stark spoke didn't fully register in his mind.

"I'll be good I promise, I've got stuff to study for now though so I better get on that," he said smiling and hinting for him to go back to his room in peace. Tony gave him that fatherly look that said, " I'm watching you kid," Tony definitely knew something was up but decided to leave it alone for now. "Later kid, if you need me, call Happy instead."

And with that, he was gone.

Peter got to his room, and as soon as he entered he ran to his bed and picked up his suit, there were cords all in it and he was careful to remove them one at a time not wanting to screw it up. He spoke to himself, very excitedly, "I'm just a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, man I'm gonna have so much fun with this." He cleaned up enough so that no one would be suspicious if they walked in, and slid his suit into his backpack. A light knock was heard on his door, Aunt may. "Yes May?" He said in reply instead of answering the door, "What do you want for dinner Peter?" She said sounding a bit concerned. "I'm actually uh.... going to go hang out with Ned... is that alright?" He could hear her sigh, "be back by 11, or else I will send every police officer in Queens after you. It's not a joke peter, I love you okay."

"I love you too May" he said feeling a bit guilty, he has put her in a lot of stress lately. Not eating, coming home extremely late, forgetting the simplest things, school has not been the greatest for him either. This Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man thing is fun, but it's something that she can't know about. Not yet.

Peter walked out of his room and wrapped his arms around his aunt, "I promise I'll be okay." She hugged him back and smiled against his shirt,"Have fun Pete."
