*beep beep beep* Ugh First day of school at a new school great, I say sarcastically as I'm getting out of my bed. I go to the bathroom and do what I normally do, like brush my teeth,wash my face, and put makeup on. Then I go to my closet and put this on.

As I go down the stairs my Abuelita calls me for breakfast.El desayuno de La Niña está listo, my abuelita says. No abuelita pero gracias aunque, I said to her. As I make my way to school I notice this group of friends, but two of them were yelling at this girl,I think her name was Monśe. But I really didn't know them so I didn't go over there, but I heard one of them say who is that.
Ruby's POV:
Yo Jamal who is that , I say to Jamal. Oh that's the new girl, her name is y/n he said back to me. how do you know her?! I say very confused. My mom knows her grandma, he say in a happy tone for some reason. you think we should go over there and talk to her to make her feel welcome , I said to him. You can I'm going after Monśe, he said. Whatever I say. So you know me, I went over there.
Your POV:
One of them comes my way, while the other one goes and get their other friend. He's kinda cute though, I though as I kept walking but, kinda slow so he can catch up with me. Then he stops me, hey you,he say in a cute but stern voice, so I stop And said ... yes how can I help you , in a nice tone trying not to sound like a bitch. Well hi my name is Ruben but you can call me I Ruby and I wanted to say welcome to the neighborhood he tells me. Thank you so much I say. Do you want to meet my friends and walk with us to school he said to me. Ok sure I said. So we walk back to where they were before , and when we got there all I hear is... I told you he was coming with us, a girl name Monśe said.Whatever said a boy I know. hey Jamal i say,wait you know Jamal, a boy name Cesar ask me, well my Abuelita knows his mom,well his mom knew my mom first,so we kinda like brother and sister, I say to the boy. Anyway how are you with everything Jamal said to me. Well, I'm hanging in there I say back . Sorry not to be rude or anything but, did something happen, Ruby said to me. Oh well um my parents um, they um... died in a car accident, I say without crying my guts out again. Oh I'm sorry hear that, said Ruby. No it's fine, any we should probably get to school, I say trying to lighten up the mood. Everyone agreed.Next stop school.
