It wasn't fair, none of this was fair.
This was supposed to be some super tumblr millennial inspirational bullshit.
It was supposed to be the type of night they look back on and smile at the sheer stupidity of there actions, and just enjoy how young and uncaring they were allowed to be.
The purples and greens strobed past Larry's eyes as they lit the club with a neon spectacle. The boom of the bass vibrated every drink he downed to remind him of all the fun he's not having. People pushed and shoved as they fought for a sliver of the spotlight with their drunken moves and yet none of them could muster more than a hip sway accompanied with poor lipsyncing.
Larry always considered himself a social person, without a doubt, new associations were interesting and fun.
But you know what they say.
You can't have too much of a good thing, eventually you'll get bored or angry at them.
Or both.
Larry felt pissed and awful and bored and frustrated and so so so incredibly jealous, because as much of a piss poor night he was having,Laurent was having the time of his life,"Of his fucking life' he muttered wishing himself drunk, and oh how he wished he was.If he had been drunk he could have blamed his new found nausea on the alcohol, but alas there was nothing his sober mind could come up with to spare him of the piece of shit scene in front of him.
Laurent was just dancing, nothing elaborate a simple two-step move, lazy and un careful, clumsy but enthusiastic.Laurent was dancing and barely putting any focus into it because he was to busy having fun chatting up to some girl, this girl...
He wished her away.
I mean if he asked nicely enough,a simple pretty please outa do it,Laurent wouldn't complain not even a little about leaving early,if Larry asked nicely enough Laurent wouldn't hesitate cussing her out and leaving. If he gave him the slightest sign signalling his distaste towards this girl,he's sure Laurent would push her off and away from himself with no regards towards her feelings or her well being.
Something unpure and deranged took over Larry for just a moment too long,he knew that if he asked, he doesn't doubt not for a second,Laurent would kill her,a pretty please was all that was needed.
A dark thought, but one that reassured and terrified him equally.
Larry shuddered .
He turned around, away from the scene. He won't ask to leave,he won't ask for Laurent to cuss her out.In fact he won't ask anything from Laurent, his brother's having fun and he deserves it.
It was just that...
This girl was beautiful, terrifyingly so.Whoever she was,she made Larry uneasy, made him feel exposed,as if she knew him,as if she could read him.
As if she could tame him.
Unsurprisingly the drink he held in his hands shattered from the pressure, the frustration.
The fear?
Something was so very wrong, but he knew that a if he tried to get his brother to leave and that his only excuse was that his non-existent spider senses were tingling Laurent would still leave, without any verbal complaint.
But that didn't mean he wouldn't be upset about it,Larry wouldn't do that to him.
So he did what a good big brother would have done.
He silently monitored him, keeping himself sober, and ready to grab Laurent and bolt if need be.
And it sucked.
He ordered himself another soft drink, and waited for an invisible potential danger that might threaten his baby brother's safety.
He looked around.Scanning the crowd, the mindless people shoving each other aside and the shady drinks offered to innocent girls who knowingly declined.
As he observed the crowd his thoughts lingered towards stray topics.
He knows that when he walks the streets of any city or town he'll walk past dangerous people, creepers, murderes, rapists, drug dealers, psychopaths, pedophiles, the scum of the earth and he walked past them everyday without ever knowing who they really are.
Larry knew that by coming into any club he automatically put himself at risk, the same way anybody did when there out late at night or when they take a ride with a stranger because it's convenient.
He knew all this already,he knew that if he had too look out for danger he wouldn't have to look very far,he knew that this place was a pretty hunting ground for unfulfilled assholes but for some reason despite the hundreds of potential threats around them, the only danger he could identify was her,his focus was all on her,her and her hazel brown eyes, her hunting gaze.
And suddenly her eyes locked with his,and he could see only for a second the history she hid under her lashes.
So sorry about the wait and the length,it's just I didn't know how to introduce her yet,and I wanted it to be special.
Anyway I'm not dead and this fic isn't dead either.
