"Why can't you understand me?" she asked and looked at the latter in the eyes.

"You like me, but I like her. You should understand the feeling of liking someone else right?" she continued throwing questions at the other girl who was now tearing up. Her eyes found comfort staring down at the hard concrete floor instead of meeting the eyes of the other, nor answering the questions.

There was a pregnant pause between the two, both fumbling for words but to no avail.

"No. You don't understand. We're different. You are loved, but I am not." Sana finally raised her head to face the girl whom she loved so much, the girl whom she had stared at for hours for many occasions but couldn't bring herself to meet just then.

With that the last wall within Sana finally shattered. She turned to the door with hot tears sliding down her cheeks uncontrollably, making her vision blurry. The wind attacked her eyes as she ran and it stung. But it didn't sting as much as her heart did. She didn't stop when she heard footsteps behind her. She didn't stop even as the voice she loved so much ranged behind her, calling for her to stop.

She was too engrossed in her attempt to escape reality, she didn't notice the rain pouring hard on her. She looked up at the sky ignoring her shivering body.
