She tries to stifle a scream as she runs through the familiar of a building that she's never been to, something didn't seem right because she was never here before but knew the floor plan, and she couldn't put her finger on it. Her feet were numb and barely hitting the ground as she tried to run from whoever is chasing her.
The only thing she knows for sure is that the blood staining the front of her shirt is not her own, and that she wishes she could wake up from this nightmare.
She was getting to the end of the hallway and she knew then that there was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. As the person that was chasing her was getting closer, all she could do was cower in the corner wishing that she would wake up before the torture this time. A sickly thin hand reached out to grab her and dragged her back to the room where she first ran from.
There she saw another girl lying on the ground, throat slit; eyes open. She didn't know the name of the girl, only knew that she was the cause of her death somehow. She didn't know when it happened or why it was her fault, she just had a gut feeling.

~Cassidy's point of view~
A scream ripped through my throat as I was tossed back into my dark room. I looked around to see that I was in my own room and that I was safe from my nightmare. I was laying in a puddle of sweat, I grabbed my bedsheets and gripped the blankets as hard as I could, trying to calm myself down, trying to make myself believe that it was only a nightmare and that I was safe. As I calmed down my heartbeat slowly returned to the normal pace.
I've always had this nightmare, but I still can't figure out what it means or why I have it. I laid awake wondering why the same dream came to her every night. The scary part is that I kind of remembered the person who was chasing the girl in the dream but I just couldn't put my finger on it. With thought in my mind I could feel my heart begin to sink lower.
I could slowly feel the panic start to close around my chest and throat making it hard to breathe. I continuously tried to count to ten to calm down but it felt like I was trapped and it felt like I wasn't able to move my muscles. It felt as if someone was trying to hold me down even though I knew that it was all in my head.
What time is it? I roll over to where my bedside table is and read the time, 2:47. Are you kidding me? Again?! Why is it always the same time? I felt a shudder go through my body. I just want to go back to sleep, I have to get up early for school.
After a little bit of tossing and turning I was finally able to get to sleep. I tried over and over to recount the events of my dream and tried to conjure up a reason for having it over and over again. Why was it so familiar? Why can I recall the dream in such vivid detail when I wake up? What makes this so special? After a few hours of tossing and turning I finally felt myself fall into a state of calmness and it was a relief.
