I awoke with a start, sweat dripping down my back, my fists tightly clenching the sheets, my toes curled, panting. The same nightmare that reoccurs so often of that night, 14 years ago. With a heavy sigh, I pulled myself out of bed and glanced into the mirror at my reflection. The warm, comforting rays of moonlight streamed into my room, making my silver hair look like streaks of varying hue of silver and grey. My black tank top was slipping off my shoulder and my hair was a hot mess. I yawned and waltzed into the bathroom. I definitely wasn't going to let that memory hinder me. No, I was going to thrive off of it. Quickly, I washed up and threw on a blue tank top, black biker jacket and a pair of jean shorts. I scarfed down some old pancakes and ran out of my apartment, twirling my car keys around my finger.
I slid into my black Corvette and whirred it to life. Grinning, I sped off towards downtown.
