I sat on my favorite bench, eager to eat and witness the savory flavors of my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich.

The sun shone bright, and the streets of Somersville were quiet as always. Every morning the sun shone, every morning the birds sang, and every morning I had my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich. Rarely anything happened in the small town of Somersville, and every day was always like the day before it. Rarely anybody drove around town, because everything was in walking distance. There was only one elementary, middle, and highschool, so almost everyone knew eachother. I worked at Jimmy's Shakes, which was convienient for me considering it was only right around the corner from my house, and also adjacent to my favorite bench. I unwrapped the silver aluminum foil, revealing melted cheese, covering beautifully cooked strips of bacon, on top of a single egg, sandwiched inbetween a toasted roll sprinkled with poppy seeds.
I took a bite, and had an immediate mouthgasm (it's an orgasm, but for your mouth). It was delicious as always. I sat on the bench for about half an hour just finishing up my sandwich. I usually took my time while eating because I wanted to savour every last bite.

I checked my watch. It was nearly 10:00, which meant I started work in about 2 hours. Clearly, I had plenty of time to kill, so I sat for a while looking at the clouds. They all looked like big , lumpy caterpillars. My cloud gazing was interrupted when a finger tapped me on the shoulder. I turned my head and looked up to see an extremely tall and attractive boy. He had dirty blonde hair which was styled upwards, and really beautiful ocean blue eyes. This guy was probably on the list of "World's Sexiest Men".

"Do you mind if I sit here?" The boy asked with some sort of British accent.

He's definately not from around here.

"No, not at all," I replied. I moved myself and all of my trash over to the left side of the bench. He sat down on the right side, and sniffed for a second.

"It smells like someone was eating here, like an omelete-."

"Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhich," I corrected him. For a moment there was a complete akward silence, but then he spoke up.

"Oh. That sounds yummy,"

"It was."

"I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, my name is Luke Hemmings. I just moved here from Australia." It was then and there I realized Luke wasn't British, but rather Australian. He reached out to shake my hand. "So thats where his accent is from," I muttered under my breath. "What?" Luke asked, confusion taking over his face. For a moment I just stared at my lap, looking for something to say, and then I realized that I forgot to introduce myself to him. "Ellen Summers. I've lived here basically my whole life." I told him while shaking his hand.

--

"So what brings you here to my holy bench, Mr. Hemmings?" I asked.

"I'm just waiting for my mum to meet me here. I needed to return some books to the library, and she needed to run a few errands. So, I told her to come here when she was done so that we could walk home together," He responded, with a tad bit of enthusiasm.

"Why don't you just walk home by yourself?" I asked, a little bit confused.

"Is it bad that I'm walking home with my mum?" He responded, defensively.

"No... It's just.. aren't you like 20?"

"17, actually. How old are you, like 75?" Luke asked in a mocking tone.

"16, and I don't sound like Miley Cyrus in 2006."

For a while we talked about school, even though it was only the beginning of summer. Luke was going into the grade above me, senior year. Our conversation was interrupted by the voice of an older woman.

"Luke!" The voice called out. I turned my head, and Luke stood up. It was his mom.

"Hi mum!" Luke said, happy to see her.

"I got you a little something while I was running errands!" Out of her purse she pulled out a carton of apple juice. He took the juice out of her hands, inserted the straw, and started sipping from it. Compared to his hand, the juice carton was tiny.

I let out a little chuckle, as it was pretty adorable.

"Who's this?" Luke's mom asked, smiling at me.

"This is Ellen. She's in the year below me."

"Hi!" I stood up to shake her hand. "Hello dear!" She replied back. "Luke, we have to get going. How to Train Your Dragon 2 starts at 2 o'clock. We still have to walk home and drive to the cinema!"

"Alright, mum. Bye Ellen! Nice to meet you!" He waved, and then started walking away.

"Bye!" I waved.
