Lying there in the blazing sun surrounded by my three best friends... I felt safe. Truly safe. So the words just sliped out without me realizing what i had done before it was too late.

"So... I'm bisexual..." Those words. Three simple words and yet they mean so much to me. Those same three words I had kept safe for so long in a cage in my heart were now fully exposed and out there. I felt naked and unprotected... open for an attack. But all I got in return for sharing those three words, was love. Pure and utter love.

"Really? Well, I'm so honoured and happy that you would share that with me, Maddie, really I am" Cleo reassured, giving me a comforting smile. I felt my heart rate start to slow down its fast pace as I gazed at her in admiration.

"I feel the same" Mabel finally spoke up making me whip my head around to face her on the other side of me. I smiled at her in thanks and she returned it but hers wasn't to show thanks it was to show pride... Pride for me which field me with warmth and happiness. I slowly sat up to look at Emma who had been sitting across from me. She must of felt my gaze because she looked up quickly forgetting about messing with the strand of grass she had just ripped out of the ground moments ago. The minute our eyes met relief rushed through me as she gave me the most goofy and toothy grin anyone could ever muster.

"I mean, I will always love you no matter what you decide... unless you kill my dog... then I think I'd be a bit mad. But other then that... I could never fully hate you. Well I guess if you killed my parents I woul-"

"She gets it!" Cleo shouted cutting Emma short. I couldn't help but laugh at the bluntness of my friends and soon I was joined in by all three of them. I have never felt as loved as I do in this very moment. I don't really know what I expected them to say but I'm just grateful that this was their reply. They are truly good friends.

"If it's any reasurance I wouldn't kill your dog or any of you family members"I directly said to Emma with a light smile. She gave me a mock glare.

"You better not" She replied trying to fight a smile creeping on to her face as she faked a strictness in her voice. I giggled and she grunted in fake annoyance.

"I'm never taken seriously" She grumbled but a smile broke out non the less when she saw me pulling a silly face at her and she started to join me in my antics.

"You guys are so childish" Mabel Laughed as I turned to face her, still in the middle of contorting my face.

"I wouldn't have it any other way" Clariffied Cleo cheerfully. Mabel nodded in agreement as they both continued to stare at Emma and I as we started competing in our little game. After a few seconds I flopped back down to a lying position laughing all the while.

"Who else knows?" Cleo asked thoughtfully.

"Just you guys" I replied softly.

"Oh"

"Yep"

"Are you going to tell your parents?"

"Probably,  but not yet. I'm not ready yet. But when I am I'll tell you"

"Yeah take your time. There's no need to rush"

"Yeah"

"We'll support you no matter what, Maddie" Emma declared. Those words ment so much to me. More then you could ever imagine.

"Thanks you guys" I said with pure happiness laced in my voice. A chorus of 'you'r welcomes' and 'no problem' followed.

"You guys are the best" I spoke softly as my eyes slowly drifted shut shielding themselves from the suns glare.

"We know" Was Mabels reply and the last words I heard as a slowly fell into a light slumber with a smile attached to my face.
