Sam's POV:
I got out of bed, my feet hit the cold floor. Since I don't have slippers, some fuzzy socks will have to do for now.
I grab the maroon blanket off the end of my bed and shuffle over to the foggy window.
I open it up. Its a chilly morning, leaves and grass covered in dew, fresh smell in the air, perfect for a ride. I slowly closed my window, and walked over to unpacked suitcase. Since it's so chilly and I don't have a coat, this grey sweatshirt will have to do. (Who thought it would be so cold in summer?)
I start to think about Marcus, I wonder if he'll be there to save me from the cold with a nice warm coat.
I headed downstairs to get some breakfast, realizing when I got there it was only 5:00 "But I'm hungry...and ready to see Marcus."
I thought to myself. "Guess I'll go watch the sunrise." I said quietly.
Marcus' POV:
"It's already 5:00" I lay there for a minute, just thinking about life and things.
"I don't have to be at the stables until 6:00." I said hoping that would make me feel better.
I get up to get some breakfast to find there is a heel of bread, no milk, eggs, or cereal. Guess I'll just have to make do with a heel of bread, a couple pieces of bacon I'm not sure is good, and some pancake syrup.
"Why do I even have syrup? I don't make pancakes." sometimes I question my grocery choices.
After a "hearty" breakfast, I look at the clock to see it's already 5:45. "What?! It was just 5:00!"
I hurry and clean up, get dressed, get my boots, and vest on and out the door I go.
I made it just in time. As soon as I get everything settled, I start to work.
As I'm filling out a test for veterinarian class I hear something bumping around the stables, so naturally I go and check it out.
I crept up to the stall which the sound was coming from and slowly peaked over the door.
"Sam?" *super cute confused look* *surprised scream* "Marcus! You scared me!" she said with a smile.
"I'm sorry, I thought you were someone who wasn't supposed to be here." *smiles*
"It's alright." she said turning back to her horse, Nugget.
I opened the door and went into Nuggets stable. "So what are you doing here so early anyways?"
"Oh...well, I woke up thinking it was later than what it actually was." *nervous laughter*
"Oh." I said, trying not to laugh. "....So...would you like to go on a ride with me?" Sam sheepishly asked.
"I would but I have work to do." *small sigh/frown* "What about a short ride?" a convincing smile quickly followed her question.
"....Fine..." "Yay!" Sam said with a smile. "but it has to be short." I reasured her.
"I know." she said as she finished saddling her horse.
Sam's POV:
We saddled up our horses and went on. I was cold but I didn't want to ask Marcus for his coat, because then he might be cold.
We rode about 5 to 10 minutes and stopped to just look at the view. Marcus got off his horse first and came and helped me down.
"Wow, you're so cold." Marcus said with an adorable concerned look.
"Here." he said as he wrapped his coat around my shoulders, it practically swallowed me whole.
We just stood there for a minute looking into each others eyes.
"You do have beautiful eyes." Marcus said to me. To be honest I melted on the inside.
"...Well...yours are much prettier." I said in a joking tone, but I really wasn't.
After that was said he did that adorable thing where they smile and look to the ground AND I JUST DIED!
Honestly though, I love when guys do that, its so cute.
I was still a little cold, even with the coat. I didn't see it coming, Marcus just wrapped his arms around me and hugged me.
I would've hugged him back but my arms are literally wrapped up in his jacket.
We stood like that for a couple of minutes in silence until it was time to go.
You could tell neither of us wanted to let go. We rode back to the stables neither of us really said much.
It was comforting, in a weird way. I'll just say, it wasn't a hug for either of us to be ashamed of.
