There was total silence for several minutes. Then Jessie turned towards the door from embarrassment. Sophie grabbed his arm as she said," I love you too Jessie but why tell me now when we are in a house by ourselves?"

"I just wanted to let you know now I couldn't live with not telling you."

"I'm glade you feel the same why. I just couldn't say it. I didn't want you to say you didn't. I don't think I could live with that."

"You know I would never leave you out there a lone. I'm your friend and you are the only one I have too. You are a true friend and so much more Sophie."

That night they made love. It was Sophie's first time. Jessie had done it before but only once. The whole weekend was just the two of them showing their love.

That Monday at school people started to notice Sophie and Jessie around school. People talked and stared at them. Sophie felt as if all eyes were on her. She hated that feeling.

The next day she didn't come to school. Jessie was worried because she never missed a day of school. Not event when she had been beaten half to death the night before. After school that day he went to Sophie's house to see why she didn't go to school.

Knocking on the door he took a deep breath. The door opened slowly showing Sophie's drunk father. Jessie asked," is Sophie here she didn't come to school?"

"I haven't seen her sense she left last night."

"You don't know where she is or anything? You are a bad father and a piece of shit drunk." Jessie was so angry that he had his hands in fests. He didn't understand how a father could be so careless and dumb.

"I don't see the problem she has missed school before hasn't she?" her father stated.

"Not one her whole life. Event last year when you almost killed her."

"How do you know about that?"

"She and I are vary close we know everything about each other."

"I don't know what to do I'm just a drunk who beats his child. I will go to jail and there would be no home for her to come back to."

"Do what you want but I'm going to look for her."

"I will help you and I'll call the copes if we don't find her soon. It might seem as if I don't care but I do."

"Okay let's split up. I'll look at our normal hang outs and you look where you think she might be."

Her father shook he's head as he walked out the door. Jessie walked to the park where they spent most of their time talking and being who they really were. He searched everywhere he could think she might be. He couldn't find her so he went to the police station and field a missing persons report. Then he put up poster with her face and information about her.
