When I woke up I was falling, and fast. All I could see was the sky, my home, fading away right before my eyes. As I decended into a new world, all I could think about was how beautiful it was from up here.
The ground grew closer, and closer. Fear krept in of my impending doom, but from the trees below I saw a human racing towards the spot I'd most certainly fall to. Just before I could see the outcome of this odd event, I fainted from the fear.

When I woke, I could here shouting. Two people were yelling at each other. I turned to look at them, one spotted me awake and walked over.
"Hey are you ok. From what I hear you took quite the fall," It was a man. Tall, with long brown hair.
"I-I think so," I said, looking around. I appeared to be in an apartment, I had been laying on the couch in front of a small TV.
"Can you remember anything that happened? Before the fall, I mean,"
I knew they were mortals, they wouldn't understand what actually happened.
"I was talking to my sister, and out of nowhere, a bright light flashed. Everything went black, when I opened my eyes I was falling," I said, explaining it in a way they'd understand.
"Sammy," Called the man behind me. The man who talked to me before looked up, I assumed they were brothers. Not only did they look similar but they fought each other like my brothers did, less violently though.
"What's your name?" It was who I assumed was Sam, the man who asked me if I was "ok".
"I'm Castiel. I assume your Sam?"
"Yep, and this is my brother, Dean. Sam and Dean Winchester. He's the one who caught you,"
I remembered the fall from heaven. I expected to fall painfully to my death, that's what we had been taught would happen. I was meant to survive, to rot away on this forsaken world for my sins.
"You fell slower than normal humans would," He said, giving me a skeptical look.
"W-well I-I ..." I remembered stories I had heard, stories of people known as hunters. I was told they were evil, that they kill angels and demons, confusing light with dark. If these two were hunters they'd know I was an angel, they'd know I lied.
"So, 'Castiel', where are you from?"
"I- um I-" I couldn't think of anything to say. Heaven is the only place I knew, I knew almost nothing of earth. "I don't remember," I said, hoping he'd leave it at that. I had a feeling about this man but I couldn't place it. Was it trust, hatred, fear?
"Well I'm not gonna push you out into the streets, not like this," Sam said. I felt a tinge of happiness surge through me at the kind gesture. From what I'd heard humans weren't any better than hunters. I was told they were disgusting creatures, creatures that only cared about themselves. Even before my fall, I had a feeling nothing I was told was true.

While Sam showed me kindness, Dean seamed skeptical of me. He didn't believe my story, he didn't want me here. It was amazing, watching two completely different people get along so well. Is this what family is? I never knew what a family was. In heaven, my brothers and sisters were always gone. They had all been ashamed of me, and they thought I was weak. My most trusted sister, Naomi, was the one I had been talking to before my fall. I told her everything, and in return she showed me nothing but hatred. She cast me from heaven, she left me here to die, an angel without grace, without wings.

I had only been here for half a day, but I found out the next mourning that Sam had what Dean called "college", so he'd be gone most of the day.
Dean spent most of the day avoiding me. I didn't bother asking why, he obviously had his reasons.
Sam came back later that night with what he called "fast food" and a pie for Dean.
"Thanks Sammy," he said, getting off the couch to get a fork. Sam smiled at him and Dean smiled back. The only sibling I'd ever thought I'd connected with like this was my brother, Gabriel. He wasn't perfect but he knew how to make me laugh. Most angels resented him for his pranks and jokes. When I fell, he was off somewhere else, that's why I turned to Naomi for help. I trusted her more because she seemed to be the strongest, and I thought she cared about me, unlike my other brothers and sisters.
That night I went to bed thinking about what happened. She cast me from heaven. Naomi, my most trusted sister, cast me from heaven. She tried to kill me.
