Chapter One|| Rough Start

~Y/N's P.O.V~

It  was another day in Detroit, walking with my android named Max. I always  considered Max part of the family, but my father never thought so... He  would always beat Max, day to day! Me and my sister couldn't do  anything about it but watch, and once I tried to intervene, but I was  hit instead...

Max  and I just came back from the store, with the items we bought in our  hands. We knocked on the door and my sister opened it for us. At the  store, Max was acting... stranger than  usually. I just shrugged it off though. I placed the items on the table  and started to sort stuff to put in the fridge. Max came over and  helped me sort things. My father came downstairs and was obviously in a  bad mood! He saw Max and scoffed and threw the bottle he had at him. 

"Dad!"  I shouted. Max fell against the counter from the impact I swear I saw  blood on the counter. He slowly got up and my father scoffed again. 

"Fucking androids, get me a beer why don't you"  He lazily went to sit towards the couch. Max slowly got up and instead  of going to the fridge and getting a beer, he went to the counter and  pulled out a knife. 

"Wait Max" I got in the way, but  he shoved me aside and I watched him walk over and leap and my father  knocking him on the floor, and stabbing him in the chest, over and over  again. All I could see was blood, everywhere! My sister was curled up on  the floor crying her eyes out. I couldn't watch this anymore, so  I ran over and leaped onto his back, wrapping my arms around his neck.  He got up and started thrashing around, trying to throw me off.  Thankfully being part of the police department has taught me how to be  agile and slick. I wrapped my legs around his waist and leaned to the  right side, and  we both tipped over, causing a crash sound to accrue. I rolled away and  got up with the strength I had left but Max grabbed my ankle as I was  trying to run away, causing me to fall. Max pulled me closer and reached  for the knife. 

"Max, Please!"  I begged. Tears threatening to fall. He just growled and grabbed my  throat with the other hand and made a hold in his hand where the knife  is going to go. I closed my eyes, accepting the fact I was going to die  by my own android. 

"M-Max" I choked. I suddenly felt Max's weight get lifted off of me. I opened my eyes to revel another android, pinning Max to the wall along with a human aiming his gun at the android. 

"Don't fucking move"  The human yelled. I looked around for my sister as I took godly  breaths. I still saw her lying down, now under the table. I limped over  to her and opened my arms wide, and she came over and hugged me tightly. 

"Sis, is Dad-" I just shook my head yes. I heard the human yell. 

"I warned you!"  Followed by a gun shot. I turned around to see Max, lying on the floor,  still, while my father stayed on the floor by the couch. 

"Are you alright ma'am?" The android asked me. 

"Ye-yes" I was a little hesitant, since I just saw my father get murdered by an android right in front of me! 

"Well it looks like this place is now a crime scene. So, we'll have someone take back to the station to sort things out."  The android replied coldly. This android wasn't like Max, he showed no  emotion. I helped my sister up, without taking my eyes off the android. 

"Oh, by the way, the names Connor, and this is my partner Hank" Hank nodded coldly like Connor. 

"M-My names Y/N and this is my sister Kim." I still kept my arms tightly around Kim.

"Well someone will be coming to get you, in a matter of minutes." Connor said. "We're going to investigate your home" Before I could reply, they both turned around and Hank walked over to my dad. I heard him mutter. 

"Man, he is toast"  I looked away and saw Connor checking out Max. I heard a car beep and I  cautiously peeked out the window and saw a man in a black car. 

"They really had to send fucking Gavin" I heard Hank growl as he looked out the window. 

"C'mon Kim"  I hurried her out the door and walked slowly towards the car. We walked  towards the window and I lightly knocked on it. He pulled down his sun  glasses and looked at me. His eyes widened, and quickly rolled down the window. 

"Hey, are you the girls I'm bringing to the police station? "He cooed. I growled and nodded. 

"Alright" He popped open the back and me and Kim crawled inside. I closed the door and we put on our seat belts. 

"Makes sure you're buckled up beautiful" He started the car, and we backed away from the house. I watched the house pass by the window, and I sighed. 

"Y/N" I turned around to look at Kim.

"Yes Kim?" "What is going to happen to us?" I smiled a reassuring smile and squeezed her hand tightly. 

"We'll get through this, don't worry. Besides, I'm a cop after all." Kim leaned her head up against my shoulder as I wrapped my arms around her waist. 

                   I don't know how long we were in that car for, but it came to a  screeching stop, which woke me up. I heard Gavin say, 

"We're here"
