Readers POV:

I wander around the halls I had known my whole life, bored out of my mind once again. I came to a stop at a certain doorway and looked in, and sure enough I could see the other children of the orphanage playing inside. I didn't want to go in and play with them for two reasons. One, I know I'm going to have to watch them tomorrow, and two I don't want to get to close to any of them.
I had decided to no longer have any friends here, sense I knew they would just be adopted away. But me, I would never be adopted. We all know everyone wants to adopt the sweet younger children. Not a older teen like myself. And I was 'different' according to the care-takers.
I quickly dart past the door in hope not to be spotted. If I was I would be forced to play with them again, which is something I really didn't want to do at the moment. Luckily no one saw me and I continued onto my room where I could sketch.
Ever since I could remember I loved to draw, it was one of my favorite things to do to pass the time. I sometimes even sneak my sketch book to school and draw in class, though I usually get caught. So I just draw on the papers they give us instead.
I only had one friend in this horrible world and that was Violet. She loved to draw with me and we would sometimes skip class to just sit outside and draw. Unfortunately we could almost never come over to each others places so school was the only place we could see each other.
After a lot of quite, careful sneaking I had finally gotten to my room. I sit down on my bed, grabbing the sketch pad. It was almost full so I would need to ask for another soon. I walk over to the window and look out it to the back field that stretched into a forest.
I watched to see if I could get any inspiration of what to draw when I suddenly saw a human figure in the trees. I felt as though it were watching me, or at least the building. I blinked after a moment and it was gone. I brushed it off as just my mind playing tricks on me and looked back out. Though something in the back of my mind told me that it wasn't a mind trick and I would be seeing who ever that was again.
After a while of watching a drawing it was time to go join the dinner crowd and get ready for bed. As I was getting tucked in by a caretaker I couldn't help but feeling like we were being watched again. I once again brushed it off and drifted off into a uneasy sleep.

I look down the dark stairway into the main room, sensing something was really wrong. I walk down slowly and look into the room only to be frozen in place at what I saw. Everyone in the orphanage was there including the caretakers. But there was something wrong with them, they were all dead.
Their blood was all over the walls in different shapes and patterns. But most of the drawings were faces, smiling faces. I looked at the bodies to see they were arranged in a pattern to spell something, but before I could see what is was I heard a crash behind me.
I jumped and turned to look but no one was there. I slowly made my way over to see the door wide open and someone running away in a blue blood covered jacket.

I wake up from the nightmare and get up to look downstairs to make sure it was just a dream, though a chill went up my spine as I was able to remember every detail of it. I go back up stairs after seeing everything was ok.
I hop back in bed to try to go back to sleep but I just can't, so I go over to the window for some outdoor comfort. But what I saw gave me the exact opposite. Out in the back yard stood a figure in what looked like a blue blood covered jacket. I blink my eyes and it was gone again.
