~Jack POV~

I closed my eyes and laid my head back on my office chair. I sighed softly.

I had finally finished the finishing touches to my restaurant that will open next week.

I thought back to the times where I was so broken and didn't even think I could move on with life. And then I look at myself now, I have achieved so much by myself.

And the best part is I don't have anyone with me. That might sound strange, but I can assure you it's just what I need. Growing up everyone left me, my parents, my grandfather, and my best friend.

I loved those people so much, but they left me to tend for myself. My best friend left without a word, I was in love with him, and the worst thing is he took my heart with him.

But not everyone left me, my grandma however stayed with me. I am emotionless in the face of everyone now, but the only person to see my emotions is my beloved gram-cracker.

Ding

I wonder who that could be at this ungodly hour.

I looked on my phone and it's two in the morning.

"Jack sweetheart you need to rest." I heard an angel of a person tell me.

"Gram-cracker I just finished my work." I replied through a smile.

"Good, this shit has got my grandson on an unhealthy schedule." Gram scolded

"Gram it's okay, it will all be worth it in the end." I laughed

She replied with a, "it better be, or else I'm going to sue whoever gave you the idea of starting a restaurant."

I laughed and said, "Gram you're the one who gave me the idea."

Her face molded into a horrified expression but then turned into a grin, and she said, "well since I gave you the idea it will obviously succeed."

We both laughed at this.

Gram then looked at me smile still on her face and said, "well Mr. Bigshot you better get some sleep or else I won't bake you my special brownies for your big day."

I looked at her horrified and frantically hurried up to clean my things and get some sleep.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek and hurried on out the door but not without giving her a cheeky smile.
