louis went through the next school day like normal, the only difference being that him and niall made eye contact a lot more than usual. it seemed that whenever they were in the same area their eyes would be glued on each other.
when it got to lunchtime louis went to the toilets, hoping to get some alone time in there without others disturbing him. when he walked in he instantly scrunched his face up from the pungent smell of smoke that was hovering in the air.
before louis could move another step one of the cubical doors opened to reveal niall. the two made eye contact and niall flashed louis a small smirk. "hello, kitty."
"uhm, hi," louis said, watching niall take a step closer to him. he reeked of alcohol and smoke and it slightly irritated louis' sensitive senses to smell. "what are you in here for?"
"to have a smoke and stuff," niall admitted. he extended his arm and took louis' beanie off of his head. he began to softly scratch his ears before continuing. "i have some business to take care of soon so we can't work on the project tonight."
"what kind of business?" louis curiously asked, him stepping closer to niall so he could scratch his ears easier.
"secret business, kitty," niall said, letting out a soft chuckle at the hybrid's curiosity. he took ahold of louis' arm and pulled him back into the cubicle with him. he closed the door and leant against it before pulling louis close again. "definitely not something that little kitties should be involved in."
"but i'm not just a little kitty." louis fought back as he rested his head on niall's chest, soft purrs staring to rumble from the back of his throat.
"seeing people who could potentially harm you frightened the fuck out of you, kitty. so if you saw people with weapons or if you was only a few steps away from men who have killed and tortured people it would probably give you a heart attack." niall said, a small smirk still laced on his lips. he thought louis trying to prove him wrong was cute and amusing.
louis let out a small whine and shook his head, not liking to be proved wrong. he knew niall was right though - creaks from the floorboards at night would make him shake with fright and he wasn't able to watch horror movies at all, even if the movie wasn't that scary.
"it's okay, kitty," niall reassured louis. he heard a quiet grunt come from him, causing niall to laugh softly. "when i dropped you off at home last night it's clear that you live in a nice neighbourhood with probably no crime. you're pretty safe there ... you should be glad you don't live closer to my area."
louis looks up at niall. "what scares you?" he asks, changing the topic.
niall's face goes blank for a moment as his tries to muster up a response for louis. "nothing really .. spiders and shadows used to spook me but now," he shrugs. "nothing."
louis nodded at niall's answer. he rested his head back in his chest and shut his eyes.
niall took this time to admire louis. louis was just so innocent and cute looking it was hard for niall not to just pin him up against the cubicle wall and fuck him. niall hadn't found another male attractive either so this was new for him, but he definitely wasn't against the idea. sleeping around with the same group of girls had gotten a little boring for him seeing as it was usually the same with every girl he had slept with - arrange a time and place, fuck them until he's satisfied, ditch them and then ignore their endless messages and attempts to gain his attention again
"can i ask you a question, kitty?" niall asked, him desperately needing to know the answer.
"sure, ask ahead." louis replied.
"what's the most sexual thing you've done with someone?" niall asked, his eyes glued on louis to see his reaction.
louis just shrugged his shoulders. "nothing. i haven't even had my first kiss or anything like that." he admitted before going quiet again.
niall bit down on his bottom lip when hearing that. the innocence louis had at his age was rare and all that niall wanted to do was ruin that innocence. he was tempted to do even little things like just feel louis up and pepper his neck with love bites seeing as those parts of his body hadn't been touched in erotic ways. however, niall just continued to admire the small hybrid, not wanting to scare him off. if he was going to make a move on louis it'd have to feel right in the moment and not just be in some toilet cubicle at school.
louis and niall remained in their spot until the bell rang, signalling it was the end of the lunch period.
louis whined quietly, clearly not watching to budge from his relaxed state.
niall looked down at louis and chuckled softly. "i have to go now, kitty. i'd love to skip the next classes to be with you but i have shit to take care of .. enjoy the rest of your day, sweetheart."
after niall put louis' beanie back on his head he left, leaving louis with a trail of thoughts for the rest of the day.
