Grace's P.O.V

I was currently sat on the cool grass and laid my back upon a tree while having a book in front of me that I wasn't even reading. Yes, it was an amazing book, but I was more interested in the random people that walked in front of me. Since the day my mother told me about the 'Soulmate Mark' that most people had. I've grown accustomed to looking at people that passed by and trying to find or guess where theirs were located at. Some were noticeable like on their arms, legs, hand, face, but others were more difficult to pinpoint since they were hidden by their clothing.

It's just so fascinating and captivating that such a thing exists in this world.

I considered it a hobby as mine, even though it wasn't really considered one. But I mean a hobby is, "an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure" according to Google.

So I liked considering it as one.

But my brother is completely repealed by it and has told me it's weird and rude to just stare people down since they might find it offensive or might get scared by me. But, nothing bad has happened yet that's made me think other wise. So I'll just stick to what I like, which is looking.

But to be honest I didn't really care since I didn't really see a wrong in what I was doing, I mean they can't sue me for staring.

Also, I wasn't just staring I would sometimes try to make up a fake scenario in my head of how they would meet their soulmate.  I'm pretty sure that I wasn't the only one who did this, but most people made up events of their own fantasies instead of other peoples.

"Stop staring Grace," my brother says snapping me out of my own little world.

I roll my eyes, "Leave me alone."

"I mean I really can't when you have a sinister smile on your face while staring people down with your beady eyes. You look creepy," Zach points to my face.

I give him a blank look, "This better?"

"Actually now you look like your going to murder someone, so no," Zach says trying to pull me up.

I cooperate following him to wherever he's walking to, but still curious, "Where are we going?"

"To the office, I need to go pick up a paper," he says as he slows down for me to catch up.

I jog up to where he is, "And why did I need to go with you? I could have been sitting down not wasting my energy and reading my book."

Zach raises an eyebrow, "More like staring people down."

"Can't you stop saying that, I swear you've said it like a bajillion of times ever since I was a child. Let me live my life," I mutter.

Zach gets a little twinkle in his eyes, "I'll stop talking about it once you stop that habit of yours. I swear you've done it ever since we were little actually you have calmed down a bit because I remember once when we were younger you were super curious about one boy's mark. So you just when up to him and ask him where it was and when he refused, you started taking his shirt off to try to find it and I am one-hundred percent sure that you would have gone farther, but you were stopped by an administrator and taken to the office."

I bury my hands to my face, "Shut up Zach! I didn't know any better I was a child! Why do you always bring that up its embarrassing."

Zach laughs at me, "because its weird to think you acted like that even though you were super shy and it's funny."
