Chapter 1: Vanish

My legs felt limp and heavy as I pushed myself to reach any form of light, but there was only darkness........ My breath came out as an icy mist, making it harder to move, harder to run. Pain crept through every muscle, piercing every bone..... I was slowing down but still I pushed on to run away from the darkness of death. As my pursuer chased me, I tried to figure it all out. Why was this happening? Why was I running in this forest....... How did this happen to me?

He's getting closer, his dark, large, dominating figure. Tears streamed down my cold, pale skin and there was only one thing on my mind... run. I had to get away, I had to live. I could hear the crunching of leaves beneath my feet and the howl of wind blowing through the trees. Couldn't someone save me, someone wake me up and tell me that this is all a dream. I could feel my body letting me down as my lungs felt as if it were about to explode, as the icy air that I took in with each breath clung to its walls.

"Stop running!" yelled the man in a deep fierce voice. No! I mentally screamed back at him, I couldn't waste any precious breath.

In a split second I was knocked onto the floor, tasting the sand and leaves, feeling the sting of the hard ground slice into my left side as my body scraped into the ground. Something immensely powerful had hit me from my right side. I struggled up frail, weak and vulnerable. I attempted to escape, yet again, stumbling with every step. What was that? Was he that strong?

As I stumbled away, something grabbed my leg, a muscular hand which crushed my bone. My body was swung through the air as if I were nothing. I met the ground with a violent, strong blow that shattered every bit of strength and will left inside of me. I turned around on my back straining all my torn and injured muscles. I stared up into the black sky, hopeless.

I didn't want to move, I didn't want to face the truth of what was happening, I couldn't... I gave up. I lay there, drained and dying, waiting for the inevitable... slowly my breaths turned into sobs and my seconds seemed like minutes. I could feel my wretched heart pounding heavily in my wounded chest. The tears wouldn't stop, the pain wouldn't leave... and then it came, the dreadful agony that came with the stab that punctured my wild heart... the pain mixed with my misery and fear was so uncontrollable, I couldn't scream, I couldn't move, I couldn't blink.

A dark, dangerous and deadly shadow began to creep up on me, easing the pain. All the breath left inside of me slowly escaped... my eyes began to cloud up with darkness and tears as numbness sneaked up my limbs. All pain was gone from my now lifeless body, but I was not thankful for there was only darkness, I sensed a presence but I could not see it. My mind began to blackout and my life became a confusing blur. I slowly became unconscious.... Or was this death
