Section one: The Hospital escape

For as long as i can remember I've been hiding, or running away from my problems. I've always felt different from the rest, as if the world won't except me.When I was little, my dad left us. (I was adopted btw) We don't know why or how, but he never came back. Ever since than my mom became an alcoholic, drinking to take the pain away, but I knew it didn't help. And even now, in my darkest days, she doesn't listen or help me at all. I have learned to take care of myself (since no one else will). I've decided she's not good in my life, I want to lose all contact with her.

One day when I was little, she caught me in the backyard playing with the animals that roamed it. But I wasn't just playing with them, I was talking to them, hearing their thoughts as we communicated telepathically. I know it sounds crazy, but it happened. A little after that my mom put me in a hospital or "nuthouse" (I hate that word). I'm not crazy, but she thought I was,everyone thought I was.

I have this recurring dream of being on a beach at night ,where I am free to be me, when I'm about to see something or someone important...then I wake up. I wish i could stay there and find out what happens, but i can't, I probably never will. I'm stuck in this place until I'm supposedly "cured". And at the rate its going that won't be soon. It's not fair, I want to out doing things that normal teenagers do, like dating, kissing, partying. I'm only fourteen years old and my life will end before it can ever even start.

At night they give me these pills to help me sleep, but I've stopped taking them in hopes of finishing that dream. It's late at night and I can't fall asleep. Then I hear a conversation outside my door. "She's too dangerous, you can't let her out".

"You need to trust me, it will all work out in the end". I can't tell who it is but one of them sounds familiar. But a voice in my head comes up, blocking me from the rest of the conversation, it says *go now,this is your chance! We'll be waiting*. Then I see something slip under the door. Keys! I can finally get out of this hellhole once and for all.

I reach down and grab the keys, being as quiet as I can. I know the door would be the easiest but I don't want to risk anything. I unlock the bars on the windows and open the hatch. I quickly run across the yard hoping not to be seen, if I'm caught who knows how  long I'll be in there. I have to run, like I always do, it's my only chance. As I run,  notice the sky looks extra pretty tonight. I run down to the beach where I could be alone.
