"Well well well, what do we have here?" I hear from behind of a voice I know all too well.
"I see Connor has grown on you, Y/n?" Markus laughed with North at the scene they saw before them. It wasn't until now that I realized that Connor still had his arm around me. He quickly moved it once he realized it.
"Oh no no no, it's just these kids and, and!" North laughed at my flustered tone.
"It's no biggy." North laughed as she brought Markus to the other side of the table and sat down.
"Where's Hank?" Markus asked while North put her arms around his torso, leaning into him.
"He went to get some food for himself, I believe he is in line." Connor replied.
North hummed in response. "So, tell me about these kids." North questioned, intrigued, as she gave me one small wink while Connor wasn't looking.
Dumbfounded, I tried to reply, "Uhh-" but was then cut off by Connor.
"These teenagers out of no where insulted us and told us to talk lower, referring to us as 'filthy androids'. I did what I had to do." Connor said, straightening his posture.
"Uhuh, and what was that?" North questioned, not really following.
"Jesus, could they go any slower?! I only got a burrito!" Hank says, ruining the conversation, but probably for the best.

After lunch, we all split up again. This time I was with North while the guys went of and did stuff.
"So?" North questioned curiously as we walked down to the pier.
"So?" I imitated her, not knowing what she was hinting at.
"Oh you know what I mean!" She said, pulling at my beanie a bit.
Oh, right...
"Well... It's really not that interesting of a story." She gave me 'I beg to differ' look, which made me sigh. "Okay well, We were playing at the booths and when we finished, he told me he did a scan and my ears were colder than normal so he put his beanie on my head." I said, sitting down on a cement bench.
"And?" She encouraged me to continue.
"And then the teenagers spoke out. Why? Why does this affect you? It's just a beanie.." I said.
"No, of course, you're right.." She said, giving me a cheeky smile and making me laugh.

There we all sat on the very top of the Ferris Wheel. Markus and North in one side while Connor, Hank and Me on the other. I had the view that looked out onto the lake, with the setting sun. It was calming. North resting her head on Markus made me both sick and happy. Sick, I don't know why..
Connor must have caught onto my glances because he soon put his hand over mine, letting me know that it was alright.
Or it could have been one simple scan?
Either way, I was fine with it.
It was comforting, sitting here with my friends, enjoying the view.
Knowing I am away from my past life.
I let my eyes close and my head drop onto the nearest object.
It has been a long, exhausting day...
