Laughing, we made our way to the food trucks and benches, where we would wait for the rest of our group for lunch.

"Can you believe it, a nine year old?" Connor laughed as he sat down next me. I laughed at his comment as he examined my face. Moments later he took off his beanie and placed it on my head, covering my ears. "A quick scan showed that your ears were incredibly cold." He stated, explaining his sudden gesture.

"Oh, thanks, I hadn't noticed!" I gushed, putting my face down, staring at my legs.

"Yo androids, why don't you lower your voice or get a room." A bunch of teenagers stated, laughing at the statement.

"Excuse me, that was not very polite of you." Connor pointed out to them kindly, though I knew that wasn't going to do it for the teenagers.

"Oh? And what are you going to do about it, filthy android? You may be free now, but we still own you." One of them remarked coldly, standing up to show superiority. Connor stood up to show he would not be talked down by the teenager. Connor was taller, but that did not intimidate or stop the youngster.

"By law, technically you do not own anything except your self, oh wait, not even that, because your parents own you." Connor remarked, making the teenager step back and stumble on his words.

"W-Well, I bet your girlfriend is an android," He pointed down to me, disgusted. "All you do is run around in packs." The teen crossed his arms.

"I could say the same to you." I quickly replied before Connor could.

"Oh, so it talks? Good to know." This pissed Connor off to a limit that shouldn't be reached, and I could tell.

"Why I oughta-" Connor said stepping closer to the kid before someone stepped in.

"Hey hey hey! Let's not beat anyone up this trip, 'ight Connor?" Hank said, pushing Connor back onto the table. Connor took a second to calm back down and gave me a weak smile.

As Hank walked away to order food for himself, I turned my head back to see the group staring at us and making remarks.

One of them made sure I had my attention on them and then pointed at Y/n and pointed to their temple where an androids LED would be at and he closed his eyes and made his head go limp, as if he had 'shut down', which is not how an android would shut down.

Little pricks don't even know how an android shuts down.

I scoff and put my arm around Y/n's waist, pulling her closer to me, giving the group a dead glare.

"You alright?" I heard Y/n asked beside me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I tried to convince her, but wasn't very convincing since she turned my head to face her, raising an eyebrow.

"Ok, fine, no, I'm not okay, they offended you- offended us!" I explain, as she gives me a tired look.

"Just let it go, you're only feeding them and making them want to say more." She says, giving me a soft a smile.

I think for a moment and respond, "Yeah, I guess you're right.."
