man said throwing an a-bomb to Chris's hand.he threw the bomb toward the gunfire... A huge explosion rang through the battlefield as debris started falling from the air.

"Yes" Chris shouted in excitement.
"why" replied the man confused.
"look air support"
Chris said as planes started speeding through the air throwing lead and dropping bombs on the foe.
...

"Yes" shouted the man and Chris.
"the enemies are pushed back we must strike as soon as..." the man got shot in the chest as he was speaking the last word.
"down down... Get down" shouted Chris.
Bullets started flinging everywhere.
...
Moments later artillery rounds started going down on Chris and his crew.
"The dust formed from the artillery rounds made a good cover" Chris thought.
But he was wrong bullets began to come through the dust and smoke killing most of the crew.
Chris saved as many as he can by dragging them on the floor to cover.
When the smoke cleared they saw that the enemy teams reinforcements had arrived.
"Shit" said Chris."stand down you are
Outnumbered." cried one of the enemies. "why... Marcus."
Chris slurred on the last word.
Marcus grunted "fine then... You either want to get out of this with you pitiful lives or you can get out of this safely... But you have to keep your weapons on the floor yea"

Chris looked down...

"Chris Chris... Do you copy Chris we're doing our bombing run can you give us a location?"
...
Chris looked up he sees the planes in a distance... He tapped his earpiece but made it look like he was scratching his ear.
"Tango 66... Aim north of the time generator. Do you copy"
...
"Tango 66?"
"I copy sir Tango 66 out"
Chris looked up to see the planes which were lowering there altitude.
"you know what Marcus...I think we will get out of here with our pitiful lives." Chris grinned at the last word.
"huh..."
"DOWN!!!NOW!!!" Chris shouted to taking cover behind a rock.
Marcus looked up "Shit"

The bombs come hurdling down on Marcus's crew throwing his men to the air.
The blast radius had affected Chris throwing him toward a broken tower like structure behind the rock he took cover.

A few moments later Chris wakes up on the floor but his vision is all blurred he sees a cloud of dust and smoke. He turns toward his right to see dead bodies from the opposing faction.
He tries to get up but he feel tremendous pain in his spine.
"Ahhhh...errrrr" cried.
A few people came up to him and dragged him towards cover, which only made his pain worse.
He tried to lift his head to see if Marcus was dead.
But failed as his pain increased.
Later he while he was in cover he asked his medic "what's wrong with me"

Chris said but his words weren't leaving his mouth.
"sir... Your spine is fractured." the medic said looking down.
"oh Shit... Oh shit" Chris said exhaling deeply.
"I need to go back."
"sir with a injurie like this you need months of healing."
Chris held the medics arm
"not months just... A few days" deeply exhaling again.

Back at there homebase Chris told some of the medics to use a gell he invented that heals fractures fast. "I'll need you to inject it to my spine"
"sir we don't necessarily know what this is..." cried one of the medics.
Chris told them "just do it now."

Chris woke up in his room still drowsy from the surgery. He got up and felt the pain from the back but not as much as it did before. He stood up and went out of his room and started walking towards the "Time Chamber" where all the Time shifts are. (time shifts are machines that produce waves through the fabric of space time ripping a stable hole which makes Chris go back and forth in time)

"what's going on general" Chris said
"ahh... Chris I've see your doing fine and dandy." said General Windy Mason.
"so did we get Marcus?" asked General Windy.
"Im afraid not, General." Chris said lowering his head in shame as he could not complete his mission.
"No need to be ashamed Captain" said Windy.
"you have another assignment captain..."
"what is it general?"
"Well Max here, our tech guy has somehow managed to extend how far we can time jump."
"exactly how far are speaking about general?"
" Exactly? Ahh well then... 1456 is exactly how far we can jump."
Chris looked amazed as of before they could only Jump till 1956.
"don't look so amazed Cap' we have... miniaturised the Quantum Gate into a wrist band sort of thing that will automatically disguise its self according to which year your in."
"so enough talking do you accept?"
"hmmmm... Yes general I do accept." he said proudly.
"very well then you'll leave for 1879 tomorrow morning at 700 do you understand Captain."
"YES GENARAL"
said Chris saluting.

Next Morning

Chris got up from bed and started to dress up, he put his armour, took his weaponry and was ready to go on the journey ahead of him.
He walked his way down to the Time Chamber to find Windy and Max.
"No... This Mission will fail we have to send him." Windy told Max
"fail? why?" Chris interfered.
"Oh nothing Captain... Everything is... fine"
Windy said.
Max looked up at Windy worried.
Chris looked at Max's reaction but didn't care as much.
"so are you ready captain?"
"YES GENERAL"
"OK then here is your... tech so you will be taking you QG(Quantum Gate) your... Phantom 312 plasma pistol, plasma rifle.. (foldable) and your Dragon heart blade...why do you have that name for that dagger?"
"Well General, hmm..."
"it's OK it's ok... So remember 1879 and if you could..."
"general what exactly do I do, in 1879?"
"hmm... So the thing is Captain" Windy lowered head to look at a small locket that opened up to show a brown, torn picture of what seemed to be a picture of when she was young.
"Chris..." she paused
"these factions... never existed in 1879,
they started in 1998."
Chris looked at her lifting his eyebrows.
"I need you to stop all of this... from ever happening."
"OK general."
As Chris began to towards the Quantum Gate he looked back at Windy and turned and went to the position where he has to stand.
"When your ready, Captain." said Max looking at the console.
"Oh and Chris... Please call me Windy"
Chris nodded his head.
"Max... Now"
Max turned on the stabiliser shield and turned on the power generator.
Huge flashes went on in the Gate it turned to blue, red, pink and purple. Chris's QG turned red, purple then blue.
He looked at Windy one last time as he may never meet her again.
Windy waved to Chris as he started to dissappear and appear due to the fluctuations of time (simply putting it he slipping from 2050 to 1879)
"see you... Windy" said Chris as he disappeared.
