Chapter 5: Moving Mountains♥ 

*Jacob's P.O.V* 

After I dropped off Mia and her brother, I headed home. Entering through the front door, I call out waiting for my Mom's reply. Only to remember, she's not here. 

I go grab a snack from the kitchen and walk up to my room. A wave of pain and sadness rushes over me as I walk past my Mom's door. I froze. I couldn't help the feeling of trying to stop the few memories we had from running laps in my head. 

I slowly push the door open, revealing the sweet smell of her cinnamon-apple scented room. Her king sized bed with green sheets. Her walls covered in family pictures. The only person missing was my Dad. 

He was never there for me. Every time when my Mom wasn't around and I needed him. He was nowhere to be found. Lost. 

I'd lost my appetite for a snack and feeling to do my homework. I lay on Mom's bed. It was so soft and the soothing texture of the pillows made me feel like a baby again. I wrap her covers around me and drift off to sleep. 

By the time I woke up, it was 6 o'clock. I force myself to get up. It was time to get ready to go the drive in. I shower and dress into one of my fliest outfits. 

We were only going to the movies but I wanted to try and impress Mia. I take my last look in the mirror. One word... Misfit :D 

*Mia's House* 

I knock on Mia's front door. She opens it, her hair all messy and dressed in sweats. You could tell she'd just woke up. Mia: "Hey Prince. I'm sorry, I can't go to the drive in with you guys tonight."      

"Why not?" Mia: "My parents aren't home; they're working late. Randy's not here and Nina has friends coming over. I have to watch Joshua." 

I push my hands in my pocket, sighing heavily. "Okay. I was really hoping you could go but your brother needs you. Call you later." I kiss her cheek and start walking away. I hear someone call me back and I turn around. 

Nina: "Mia go ahead. I'll watch Joshua for you." Mia: "Really!? No, I mean Joshua-" Nina: "Mia...GO!" She looks at me and smiles.

I go sit in the car and wait for her. She comes out the house running, and hops in the car. "You look cute *smile*" "Haha, thanks." We head for the drive in. 

*Drive In...Mia's P.O.V* 

"Ahhhhh," I screamed at a scene from the movie. I barely even saw what happened due to how quickly I buried my head into Jacob's chest. Jacob: "Mia calm down. It's just a movie." "I don't care. Remind me to never come to the drive in on guys night again." 

We both laugh. Jacob: "You wanna go get a snack?" I shake my head and we go inside the little shop. He buys me popcorn and a drink. He bought himself cotton candy and a box of cracker jacks. 

He opens the cracker jacks and takes out the prize. It was one of those little play rings. He spins me sideways, going down on one knee. I laugh looking away then back at him. "Mia, will you accept this ring in being my little misfit?" 

I let out a slight chuckle and say yes. He slides the ring on my finger and picks me up spinning me in circles. I scream his name and he puts me down. 

When we got back to the car, the movie was over. Ray: "Movies' over. What you guys wanna do now?" Diggy: "I think I have an idea." He had a suspiciously evil looking smile on his face. We all got in the car and followed him. 

After a ten minute drive, we come to find we're up on some mountain that had a grass field in front of the parking area. Everyone went there separate ways. Diggy and Jada under a tree. Ray and Jayla laying on top of the car. Roc and Nisha in their car snuggled together. 

Me and Jacob decide to lay in the field and watch the stars. Even though I had a sweater on, it was getting really chilly and I was cold. I'm guessing Jacob noticed because he took his jacket off and wrapped it around me. 

Most of the time he wears his glasses but not this time. I look at him and I think for the very first time, his eyes couldn't be any shinier. They were beautiful. Not to mention his smile; this boy...

Jacob: "I had a really nice night with you Mia. You're an amazing girl." Me: "Thanks. You're not so bad yourself. You have a pure heart." There was a moment of silence. Jacob holds my hand, and pulls me between his legs, my back facing his chest. 

I felt so warm and loved being with him. I turn my head up; our eyes locked. Just like the night at the arcade, our lips met and sparks flew like wild fire. 

Being with him right now meant the world, especially because now I know I'm the only one for him.
