**Scene opens up in the Chief's Office. Two well dressed men sit across from one another in between them a dark oak table. On the table a contract, pen, badge, and a pair of goggles. The first man has his head down looking at the paper as the second (Chief) stares at him**
Chief : "You know this is the last thing you have to do? After this you're stuck here kid".
**They pause examining the other's face before sighing**
Chief: "Listen (the man raises his gaze) those fancy seminars and gym classes might have been fun and all but it's nothing like you're gonna see out there. A few years lost is better than a life lost, you get me? Just walk out that door and don't look back, go on with your life".
Man: (shaking his head looking down and signing the paper): "You know I can't do that sir".
Chief: "You can't or you're too stubborn too"?
Man: (similes lop-sidedly and extends his arm to hand the paper over): "Guess you'll have to find out".
Chief (smirks and lets out a small laugh, grabbing the paper): "Guess I will".
**Both stand up and shake hands**
Chief (slides over the goggles and Badge): "Welcome to the 54th division, Agent 7H".
Man: (proudly picking up the items and looking up at Chief): "Thank you, sir".
**Chief walks towards the door and ushers him to follow them**
**Both walk into the hallway. There is 1 more door on the other side with the end of the hall having an elevator. Chief walks towards it with the man trailing behind them pinning on his badge and putting on his goggles. When they reach the elevator doors Chief presses the down button and the doors open up and both step inside**
Chief (looking to their left at the man, chuckling slightly) : "Don't worry About the goggles Jones nobody here tries to hide what they are. That's why our main office is down here, nobody can see what they shouldn't".
Jones (turning red before setting the goggles around his hat): "O-oh sorry"
**Both turn forward again and are silent till the elevator comes to a stop and the door opens. As they step out voices can be heard. In the office there are desks and chairs. The walls have several doors lining them, each leading to an office. In the middle is a group of people (all as well dressed as them), only two seem to be talking though. The first officer is wearing a pinstriped suit while leaning against a nearby desk, and the other holds an umbrella that casts a shadow over his entire figure.**
Officer 1: (voice filled with excitement): "So you think that they are actually gonna agree"?
Officer 2: (laughs): "Knowing they'll have to work with your hyper-ass? Hell no."
**The group laughs as Max and Chief enter the office further, not noticing the approaching figures**
Officer 1: (angry and clearly flustered): "What do you mean, I'm the best partner here"!
(He turns his head to a little plague doctor doll on the table and speaks once more)
Officer 1: "Isn't that right Pest"?
**Jones' eyes confusingly shift between the scene in front of them and then to Chief, but they remain silent. The small doll on the table looks up and sighlenty nods his head in agreement before returning to its original position**
Officer 1: (speaking more confidently after his clear ego boost): "See! If he has anybody to worry about being his partner it's you. I mean they never seem to li-"
