"Harper!? Where are you?" The young girl with dark hair ran around the field in search of her friend, Harper. They were playing hide and seek so she knew it was the whole idea not to be able to find her but she was growing annoyed.
"I give up!" Dropping to the floor the girl sat sulking at the fact she lost again.

Small giggles came from in a tall tree coated with thick green leaves. It was Harper. She skipped over, still giggling to herself with a proud grin etched on her face.
"Maggie...its ok that you couldnt find me. You never can." Harper sat in front of Maggie still smiling just as wide. Her blue eyes shining. She always loved to win and rub it in Maggie's face. However Maggie didn't care if she was mean sometimes. She stuck with Harper, because even at such a young age the girl had grown attached to her. Liking how it felt to be close to her.

Both girls were 12. Still children but were already so close. Everyone thought they were going to be best friends for their entire life. Even the girls thought so. Even though when people said so she was always slightly disappointed. She didn't know why but shed always thought of something more than friendship with Harper, but thought it would never happen.
"Guess what?" Harper was bouncing around on her knees looking absolutely overjoyed.
"What?" Maggie was confused and very curiouse.
"Mummy has bought a new house in america! She wants to move soon! Isnt that cool!" Through out the whole sentence Maggie's heart broke a little more. Harper's gleaming smile didn't help either. She was happy to leave?
"When?" Her voice was quiet and sad. The look in her eyes was even worse her once amazing green eyes were cold and dull. This mad Harper confused. Was she not happy that i had the chance to go?
"Next weekend"
The Silence between them became so loud that it was hard to hear.

Maggie reached over and kissed Harper's cheek before standing up and saying goodbye before walking away. Leaving a paper flower and a piece of paper ripped from her note pad she carried every where.

Small tears landed on her messy scribbled writing.
