Meeting with the Queen...

Queen Elizabeth or Granny as DeAnn calls her has been asking about her Granddaughter for quite sometime now. Today Charles decided to drop his daughter at his mother's to give the woman piece of mind. DeAnn let out a loud sigh grabbing her grandmother's attention.

"How is school DeAnn."

"Dreadful. I would prefer history and the law of our country not the one, two, three's and A, B, C's. So while the lady in the front is teaching I'm reading history books." The little genius explained

"Your father told me ahead of your grade. Starting University next year. That is quite a achievement for a seven year old."

"I have to pass my finals first. There is a chance I might want a gap year first." DeAnn replied making the Queen laugh.

"DeAnn you only start school last year. Why on earth would you need a gap year?"

"I have to figure out my other talents." She shrugged like it is the most obvious thing in the world.

"You are not taking a gap year that is final." DeAnn let out a pout at her grandmother's words. "Have you started thinking about what you want to study?"

"I was thinking about something that falls in line with my charity so maybe law or I could become a doctor or both I have the time. You knows how much people on the street needs medical attention. It is so easy for them to get infected with TB or Aids. Someone has to help them."

"I'm positive you will be that person."

"You think so?"

"I do.I'm very impress with the work you do. The press and people can not get enough of you." DeAnn smiled at her grandmothers words.

"I'm not allowed to read the news paper. Mummy said I would get a big head. I told her it's going to get bigger as I grow." Elizabeth laughed while DeAnn tried to figure out what she said that could possibly be so funny.

"You really now how to brighten up my day."

"I'll try." She replied with a grin although she was not one hundred percent sure what her grandmother was talking about.

"Your father also tells me you have excelled in your music, dancing and art."

"I love music, I really do. My mother helps me with my dancing. So far I can tap, ballera, ballroom dancing and hip hop. I wrote a song. It's quite lovely. Do you want to hear?"

"May I?"

"You are the Queen and my Gran of course you may." DeAnn laugh getting up to go get her guitar in the corner of the room. "Ready?"

"I'm all ears."

"I was sitting on my doorstep
I hung up the phone and it fell out of my hand
But I knew I had to do it
And he wouldn't understand

So hard to see myself without him
I felt a piece of my heart break
But when you're standing at a crossroad
There's a choice you gotta make

I guess it's gonna have to hurt
I guess I'm gonna have to cry
And let go of some things I've loved
To get to the other side

I guess it's gonna break me down
Like fallin' when I'm try to fly
It's sad but sometimes
Moving on with the rest of your life
Starts with goodbye

I know there's a blue horizon
Somewhere up ahead, just waiting for me
Getting there means leaving things behind
Sometimes life's so bitter sweet

I guess it's gonna have to hurt
I guess I'm gonna have to cry
And let go of some things I've loved
To get to the other side

I guess it's gonna break me down
Like fallin' when I'm try to fly
It's sad but sometimes
Moving on with the rest of your life
Starts with goodbye

Time heals the wounds that you feel
Somehow, right now

I guess it's gonna have to hurt
I guess I'm gonna have to cry
And let go of some things I've loved
To get to the other side

I guess it's gonna break me down
Like fallin' when I'm try to fly
It's sad but sometimes
Moving on with the rest of your life
Starts with goodbye

I guess I'm gonna have to cry
And let go of some things I've loved
To get to the other side

Start with goodbye
Like fallin' when you try to fly
It's sad but sometimes
Moving on with the rest of your life
Starts with goodbye"

"What do you think?"

"Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. However I think there is a little more behind the song. Tell me about it." The Queen smiling down at her granddaughter.

"I have been thinking about how I could make a impact in people's lives without them knowing. You know just giving them a gentle nudge. This is going to be the theme song for Start with goodbye ."

"Your anti-abuse program."

"Exactly. They just nwes a little nudge. If it only helps one person get away from their abusive partner. I will take that."

"I am very proud of you DeAnn.

"Thank you Gran Lizbeth."
