I kid you not, the SECOND Brielle's feet touch the glass floor, red lights start flashing and a loud, obnoxious bell starts ringing. The three compartment doors open up. The one across from the team is empty, but the other two have somewhere between ten and fifteen guards each, all of them obviously armed with all sorts of weapons (and dressed like soldiers, for some reason).

"Nice going, Brielle," Avery mumbles, facepalming.

"I didn't think they'd have motion sensors," Brielle replies, frustrated. She then looks to the team and asks, "Well, what do we do now?"

To answer Brielle's question, Luke uses his Rock of Doom to send powerful forces in the direction of the guards, knocking them all over. Then, similarly to the fight back in Liverpool, he causes the ceiling to fall on top of them.

"Split up. Meet back here once you're sure everything's done with," Sam instructs. The rest of the team nods and disperses. Sam, Elle, Avery, and Brielle head to the left room, Mia, Mackenzie, Sean, and Shanna tackle the right room, and Heath, Luke, and Skylar stay right where they are, to keep watch in case anything comes from the other end.

And, while nothing does, they do have something to deal with. Three men fall out of the sky with parachutes and onto the glass ceiling. They then open the glass panels and lower themselves through with ropes. Luke uses the Rock to make his sword arm, and then detaches it from his body and chucks it at the ropes, slicing right through them. The men fall to the ground, and Heath shoots one of them dead while falling.

The other two men are far more trained and experienced than the other two guys, however, and get the upper hand on them quickly. Heath and Luke are soon forced onto their feet with their arms pinned. Skylar manages to remain unspotted by the men this entire time by sneaking behind them. Right before the men can pull their guns out, she whacks them both over the head with a piece of debris. She finishes them off by slicing both of their necks with a small piece of glass.

"Who knew the materials to making a building could be so useful?" she marvels sarcastically to herself once the deed is done.

Meanwhile, over in the right path, Mia's team only manages to make it around a corner before being stopped by four guards manning mounted machine guns (weird choice, if you ask me). Mia, Sean, and Shanna look to Mackenzie to make the first move, and she looks back at them with a grin. Mackenzie runs forward and frontflips right over the four guards, catching all four of them by surprise. They turn to face her, which is just the distraction Mackenzie's other teammates need. Mia shoots two of them, Sean throws his crowbar at another, and the fourth one turns back around only to be blinded by Shanna's pepper spray, and then shot by Mia.

Back in the other hallway, Sam and his companions quickly run into five flying robots. Sam shoots one of them down easily, and then two others gang up on him and start chasing him around. Elle starts chasing after them. Meanwhile, the remaining two recognize Brielle as a former captive and grab her by her shirt.

Their mistake is doing this in front of Avery. Avery pulls out her pepper spray, and then realizes that it probably won't stop the robots. But there is a smoke detector conveniently placed right behind her, so she decides to take her chances with it.

And, to her surprise, it works. A smoke alarm goes off and water starts spraying from an overhead sprinkler, shorting out the two robots carrying Brielle. As they fall, Brielle turns around to find her younger sister, who for all intents and purposes, just saved her life again, standing there proudly. All Brielle can do is give Avery a big smile.

On the other hand, the sprinklers DON'T reach the two robots chasing Sam down. These two manage to back him into a wall, and starts charging up electric blasts on their hands. Sam aims his gun at one of them and pulls the trigger, but no shots come out.

"Damn... out of ammo..." he mutters, starting to panic. His need not to, however, for the two robots go down when Elle crushes them, again using a piece of debris from the fallen ceiling.

"Twice in one day that I've saved your ass, huh?" she smirks.

"Thanks, but don't rub it in," Sam pants. Elle reaches out a hand for him to take, and the two exit along with Avery and Brielle.

The entire team meets back up in the big glass room. Once everyone's together, Skylar randomly asks, "Did you guys know how useful debris can be in battle?"

"I actually just learned about that," Elle nods.

"C'mon, guys! Let's go!" Brielle urges. The team advances forward into the third room, which at first seems to just be a dead end.

And then the floor starts rising up. It's an elevator.

"Alright. Let's see where this takes us," Sam mumbles, meaning that both literally and figuratively (look, idk what I'm saying anymore).

When the elevator reaches the top, the team runs off of it to another large door. Luke uses the remaining power left over from the Rock to punch it open, and everyone runs through, no idea of what to expect.

A combination of things slowed progress for this chapter down: Laziness, writer's block, internet issues, and even a 15-hour long power outage (no, that's not an exaggeration). But hey, I'm done now, aren't I?

Final battles happen in the next chapter, but these are slightly different than the usual final battles. I'll explain how in the next chapter.

Welp, even though my sleep schedule is fucked as all hell, time to try and go to bed and get some rest. G'night.
