"i'm going to head to my room now" i said to alec he nodded i walk out of the training room walking to my room i got in the shower then changed into a black skirt, a light blue short sleeve crop top with an black alien on it and black linings around the neck, the bottom and the sleeves i re-do my hair into a messy bun pulling on black converse and walking out of my room grabbing my phone on the way i never been in New York i want to explore a little i walk out of the institue and on to the street of New York the institue is a church sweet it's better than the California institute which is placed at The Bayshore Roundhouse that place was creep as hell trust me Edom is an awful place be there done that I walk down the road i walk to the town center from there i made my way around the town i see a small cute looking book store so i decide to go in as i walk in a small bell rings i close the door behind me and the bell rings again i look around the store and see a lot of good books i read then i spot one i never have i heard about it but never read it "white wolf a story of fantasies" it's written by a person who was turned into a werewolf and how they experienced the shadow world in their first months and i heard it's a good book so i pick it up and keep walking around i pick up like 9 other books and walk to the counter

the is an older man he is about 60 bald with old looking glasses and a kind smile i put the books on the counter "well i can see hope the next generation still reads" i smile at him and nod "of course i love to read i would die if not for books" i said he smiles and starts scanning the books "whats your name young lady?" "my name is (y/n) yours sir?" "i'm Adam" i nod when he scans the book it comes up with 30 dollars he packs the books into a bag i hand him 3, 10 dollar notes then smiling "have a nice day" i say i grab the bag and turn around "you to" i hear before i walk out i continue to walk down the road passing shops i walk to the central park and go and sit down on a bench i lean on the arm rest and stretch my legs across the seat i take a book out and start reading it how i missed this but i guess i was to busy with training, fighting demons and with the clave just finishing the first chapter think nothing can ruin this a group of guys come "hi beautiful" i ignore him and  continue reading my book "hey are you listening?" i ignore him yet again i looked up from my book to look at him then look back down to my book he snatches my book from me i look at him annoyed "what do you want" i snap at him he looked surprised that i snapped at him as if i should feel honoured that he spoke to me

"i just wanted to see what your reading" he says i snatched the book from him and lead back he laughs "leave me alone" i say and continue reading "hey come on lets have some fun not reading" i sigh i fold the corner of my book i put it on my lap and look at my out stretched legs "look if you think i'm going to blush and be honoured you talked to me you got me wrong and i dont sleep with random guys off the street that disturb my reading" when i finish i look up at him he scoffs and chuckles "playing hard to get sure game on" with that he turns around and walks away his friends hurrying after him why do guys never understand no i put the book in the book bag i take my phone out 2pm if i hurry i can get back to the institute and train before the is anymore trainee training which i want to go to i get of the bench i put the phone in my pocket i grab the bag with books ad start walking to the institue when i get to the church i walk in and the is a loud beeping and red light institute alert i run to my room in lightning speed i drop my books i look for my bow then i realise i won't use it again i sigh i walk out lock the door and run to the training room picking up a sword and a couple of daggers attaching them to my waist on a belt i run to the centre of the institute alec speaking loudly to the whole institue

"effected immediately the institute is on lock down we have a demon attack 3 possessing demon 5 shapeshifters and about 30 shax demons that's all that has been reported hunt down all of them and more if you find any as soon as you do report back so we know the amount of demons left trainees go to your rooms and lock your doors got you tasks now go" they all scattered in different place i walk to alec "how can i help" i ask him he grabbed my arm and dragged me down to a room he ignited a rune in the wall and a shelf with weapons came out he grabbed a bow and quiver my eyes softened "your an archer" i look up at him "yeah but that's not important we got demons to hunt if your gonna help i need to have you on watch your still a trainee" i nod and follow him as he walks down the corridor again we walk quickly creeping round looking for a demon then a buzz went "one demon down" alec muttered i nod ok so the buzz means one demon down then the door opposite bursts open in front of us i got my sword ready while alecs bow is pulled back i sigh how i miss my bow i cant get it i can use it like i used to when the door opens trainee's run in followed by 10 or so shax demons "get behind us" i shout to the trainee's
