I couldn't believe my ears, he couldn't have possibly have said what I had heard. I looked up towards Genji as he was now looking down at me with something hidden behind his gorgeous golden eyes, where I saw the little speckles of silver in them. Genji actually wanted to give me a chance to become his bride, his one and only women forever. I looked over at Kumori as she was smiling knowingly at her brother-in-law as if she knew he would have said those words. Had Kumori just helped me from becoming a sabanto, then again why would she be helping me in the first place? My heart raced as Genji held out his hand towards me, I was completely paralyzed with shock as well as the lump in my throat making me speechless. I honestly thought I would become a Sabanto for the family like the rest of the rejected brides, yet he wanted to give me a chance now. Genji tilts his head at me as he studied me intently and then says softly

"A potential bride should never be on the floor like a sabanto, especially if she was to become my bride. The floor is no place for you."

My eyes widened a bit more, I was in complete shock, I looked up at him hopeful. My mind started to race around in reasons why he would have said something like that. I then wondered, was he just playing with me and this was all a big joke to him and Kumori as well as the other brothers? I looked up at Genji's hand again, just thinking if I should trust him. I was very hesitant thinking he would pull his hand away quickly just to laugh at me falling to the wet dirt. I lightly touch his cold soft hand just to feel his fingers gently wrap my own, as he helped me to my feet. Genji, still with that studying look as if he was observing my every move, watched me as he lifted me up to my feet. I looked at Kumori as she smiled at me as she mouthed 'you're welcome' to me, I looked back up at Genji with questioning eyes. Even in my own mind I was thinking, was he actually being serious about this? Genji gave me a soft smile as Kumori walked over to me and hooked my arm in hers and started to walk off as Genji's hand slipped from mine. All of a sudden, Genji growled threateningly at her while grabbing my arm, making me come to an abrupt stop and my arm untangled from Kumori's arm. Kumori stopped and turned half way around with a smirk on her face as she says

"Calm down brother, let your guard down with me, I am your sister. I must show her to your room where she must sleep and have her change for supper. Father wouldn't be pleased if he saw a potential bride all dirty now do we?"

Genji stood there in thought, my heart was pounding hard in my chest at his touch, it was a cold touch as if I went into a freezer yet it gave me butterflies that rampaged through my stomach. Genji pulled me closer to his chest as I looked down, my eyes quickly saw that my dress had dirt and grass on it, that started to stain, it was my favorite dress. I looked away a bit ashamed that I had let myself fall into the dirt like that, it was not appropriate for a lady to do that. My grandfather would have striked me with his belt for doing something so pathetic in his words. Genji looks at my face, then he looks at Kumori and lightly says

"Kumori, let me walk with her, then I'll have you take her in my room to change. Have Tsuna bring up her bag and we will meet you there."

Kumori smiled kindly as she replied

"Of course brother, you have always been the proper and sweetest one."

Genji just stared at her as she smiled at me kindly and walked off from us. Kumori was absolutely sweet and caring, hopefully we could someday become friends, even if I did become a sabanto. My heart raced again as I noticed that Genji was now looking at me with a frown on his face. Most likely wondering if I was okay but never uttered a word about it. Genji linked his arm in mine as we slowly began to walk towards the house. It was absolutely a gorgeous night with the full moon even if there was a slight breeze, to be honest I never had felt the wind on my skin before. The wind felt so amazing on my skin and hair this moment seemed as if I was in a daydream of some sorts. I looked at my surroundings as Genji and I walked along the road, when my eyes drop upon a gorgeous red rose. I stopped in my tracks as Genji looked back at me wondering why I had stopped him. I walked over to the rose brush as I softly touched one in admiration, the petals felt so delicate on my fingertips. A small grin played on my face as I looked at them in awe, there were much more gorgeous in person than on a piece of paper. Genji then says gently
