The Storm

It's 9th period. I stare at the clock just watching it tick until it reaches 3:00. It's 2:56 and I am ready to leave. It's the last day of school and I would love to be doing anything else other than chemistry right this second. I keep intensely staring at the clock until I hear  my name "Freya!" Shouted the teacher. I snapped my head towards her drawing my eyes off of the clock. "Yes?" I asked. "Focus in your work! Time will pass but will you?" She asked. Her smart remark caused the entire class to giggle. I hated her with a passion. She was always on of those teacher that seemed to be out to get me. My mom just thinks I'm messing around but I swear she only picks in me. It's like she's a bully and I'm her victim. Speaking of bullies "yes fry face why don't you focus on your work dumbass. You're gonna need all the education you can get since you don't have any friends or a father!" That was Vanessa. She is known for being super sweet and very kind to others. Yeah no. She's a bitch. Everyone likes her cause she's got the perfect grades,perfect family, perfect friends,body, she's got all the money in the world and it's just uhhh it's frustrating dealing with her. Her dad is a lawyer and he just so happens to be my fathers lawyer or soon to be ex father. Mom and dad have been fighting a lot. I'm not happy that thy are splitting up but I'm not extremely upset. I'd rather both of them be happy than both of them arguing each and every moment of every single day. At least he still wants to see my brother and I.....hopefully.
*ring*
"Finally" I whispered to myself as the bell finally rang. I packed up my things and sprinted my way out of that room and to my locker to grab my jacket. As I opened my locker somebody suddenly shut it quickly almost getting my hand caught in it. "Oh my goodness Logan I'm gonna kill you!" I said well slapping his arm. He grabbed my shoulders and had a big smile on his face "what?" I asked. His smile just grew bigger and bigger. "What!?" I said again. "Guess who said yes!"
"NO WAY!" I said well jumping up and down!! "YES WAY!" He said well jumping as well. "So she actually said yes?"
"Yes she did and I am so happy she did" Logan said with a smug grin on his face. He had been going after this girl named Emily for years and she had never payed him any mind until today. "I'm so happy for you dude" I said well grabbing my jacket closing my locker and walking to the front door with him. "So what are you gonna take her out?" I said as we walked to his car that was parked in the driveway. My brother was a senior so of course my parents buy him a car its their rule that you can't have a car till your a senior so next year. "I think I'm gonna try and go out for ice cream with her tonight"
"Oh that's awesome! I'll just stay home alone in my room with nothing to do"
"Oh please you've got plenty of friends. Like that little weird kid that's your lab partner in chem" Logan said well baking up the car to take us home.
"PETER? He's not really my friend ya know he's kinda just there. He never talks. I don't even think we have made eye contact yet and I've known him for the entire year"
"Well maybe you two should hangout tonight" My brother said.
"I don't think so. He's so weird and I don't have his. Number or anything. I just honestly don't think he likes me. Or anybody to be honest. He only talks to that other guy...shit what's his name..uhhh NED!" I said snapping my fingers. "Ahh Ned's a good guy. He's so funny you might actually like him." Logan said turning into our driveway.
"It's not that I don't like him." I said well I unbuckled and grabbed my bag. "It's just that I don't think they like me ya know. I mean peter never says anything to me even though I try talking to him and I can't imagine peter saying anything nice about me to ned" I said well grabbing Logan's key to unlock the door. "Well it was just an idea. I mean maybe you'll seem them sometime during the summer. Ya never know that could be your chance to make some real friends" Logan said well stepping in the doorway and darting right to the kitchen. "Hello kids" mom said as she walked out of the pantry. "How was your last day of school?" She asked the both of us. "It was good. Logan finally got a date with Emily" I said well setting my bag on the table in the kitchen. "Way to go son!" My mom said well giving him a high five. Logan shoved a cheese stick in his mouth and smiled. "So I've been doing some thinking and I know we have all been going through a lot with the family and I was thinking that maybe the three of us could go like a cruise?" My eyes got wide and Logan and I started screaming for joy. "WE'RE GOING ON A CRUISE WE'RE GOING IN A CRUISE" we both yelled yell jumping up and down. Mom smiled and hugged the both of us. "So we leave next week on Monday so you've got today,tomorrow, and Sunday to pack."
"Oh I'm going out with Emily tonight" Logan said quickly.
"That's fine just make sure when you get home if it's not too late try and get some clothing together." Logan nodded and went off to his room. I said I was gonna start packing now and I left to go to my room. I get to my room and I see Becca laying on my bed. Becca is my little kitty and I love her so much. She's small and has midnight black fur. She was a gift from my father a couple years ago and she never really seemed to get any bigger than when he first gave her to me. I pick her up and hold her close to my chest. She lets out a small meow and I awww. I put her down allowing her to stretch her body out from her nap. As she does that I go to my closet and pull of my big blue suitcase. " hmmm what to pack what to pack??" I ask my self well staring at my closet. "I guess I'll just pack a bit of everything" I say and I grab a handful of shorts,shirts,crop tops,pants. "Maybe I should pack a dress. Uhhhh I'm not gonna need it but I guess a little black dress wouldn't be that bad."I finally finished packing my bag. Four hours had Gone by which means Logan has already left for his date. I go downstairs to see my mom at the door holding a box of pizza. "Look at momma coming in like a true G" I said as she set the pizza box down. I opened it and the beautiful smell of pepperoni filled my nostrils.
*bzz bzz*
My moms phone started buzzing off the hook and she had to answer.
"Hello?" She sad well walking away into the other room. I just sat at the table with nothing but some pizza and a bottle of ranch. "Alrighty I'll be there shortly." She said hanging up the phone. "I'm sorry sweetheart but work just called in. It's an emergency I've gotta go but I'll be back as soon as I can be" she said kissing my on the forehead and leaving. My mom was a nurse so she was a very busy woman. sometimes she gets calls like that and they just need extra help at the hospital and she has to go. I understand though. I sat there and finished my pizza still saving three slices for Mom when she came home. I went into the living room and turned the speaker on. I put on the song I like it by cardi B I started dancing all around and turning up the music when there was a knock on the door. I paused the song and went to the door. I opened it and it was a shock to me eyes.
"Uhhh Ned wh-what are you doing here?" I asked shocked that he was at my door.
"Well I live right next to you and my mom just wanted me to come over and ask if you had and egg. I just dropped out last one and we really need one" he said kind of nervous.
"Oh of course come on in and I'll get you an egg" I said well opening the door wider allowing him to enter the house.
"So uhh I umm I didn't know you lived right next to me..." I said walking to the kitchen.
"Uhhh yeah we just moved in not even a week ago. We are always in the house unpacking boxes."
"Ahhh well that's pretty cool." I said handing him an egg.
"Thank you so much." He said walking towards the door.
"Yeah it's no problem at all. Hey uhhh Ned. I know we don't know each other very well but if you ever wanna like chill or something you're more than welcome to come over. I don't have many friends to be honest so I guess I should try and make some" I said giving an awkward smile.
"Oh my god yeah totally I'd love to hang! Actually if you aren't busy tomorrow we could hang and maybe go get some lunch or something?" He said smiling.
"That would be awesome. Wait let me grab my phone so I can give you my number." I said well running away from the door to grab my phone off the couch. I gave Ned my number and he gave me his. "I'll text you the details." He said well he waved goodbye and walked away to his house. Once he got to his house Logan pulled up in the driveway. "How was the date?" I asked leaning against the door frame as he got out of the car. "It was really good! If ya know what I mean" he said well winking causing me to gag at the thought of anybody doing anything with him. "Wow first date and ya already slept with her" I said well watching him go up to his room. " you know it" he's said
"Eww" I said to myself as I hopped into the couch and turned on the tv. "Today a man in a red and blue suite stops a young woman from getting hit my a train. The man as far as we know has not been identified but for now we are calling him Spider-Man" the news lady said. "I wonder who that is?" I said to myself. "I never really thought about having a superhero as my protection. I wondering. If he's hot? Oh maybe he's got abs" I said to myself. Well at leas I thought I did.
"Eww are you crushing on Spider-Man?" Logan asked from in the kitchen. "No I'm not crushing on him I'm just curious as to who he is" I said well changing the channel. "I think you like him" Logan said well coming to sit next to me.
"Well I don't I'm just curious. But hey if he's good looking that's alright with me" I said causing us to both laugh.
"I don't think anybody could beat my looks so don't expect much" Logan said well smirking.  "Logan I've seen a trash can better looking than you" I said causing his mouth to drop like he's so surprised. "I'm gonna get you back" He said smirking. "Yeah we'll see about that" I said laying my head down on his lap and closing my eyes to go to sleep.
