"Are you sure you'll be alright on the outer wing?" Erwin asked as he looked at you.

You spun around in a chair in his office, staring at the ceiling. You hated to admit it, but since Erwin became Commander for the Survey Corps he became rather boring.

"Alright, don't die on me though," Erwin ordered as you stood to your feet. Something in your stomach instantly sank at that moment as you frowned. Erwin looked at you confusedly as you wandered over to him.

You wrapped your arms around his neck and hummed into his ear. Erwin placed his hands on yours as you stayed where you were for a moment before placing a kiss on his temple.

"You know I love you, Erwin," you whispered, standing straight and exiting the room. If only you had stayed a moment longer you would have heard him whisper back.

'I love you too.'

"Gather the wounded and deceased. It's time to fall back!" Erwin ordered as the soldiers around him began to gather those who were deceased and injured.

Everyone was loaded onto a large cart, including you.

"Is that?"

"It can't be."

"S-someone should inform the Commander."

"What's with all the muttering?!" Levi demanded as he walked through the crowd of cadets. His strides stopped when his eyes laid upon a small, fragile lifeless body.

"Levi! Erwin says he'll think about me capturing a Titan!" Hanji yelled as she ran to the black-haired man, who never removed his eyes from the body. "Hey, what's wr- is that... no way," Hanji looked at the body, her own body shaking as she looked at it.

"Er-Erwin... we should... inform him," the brunette muttered as she took some deep breaths, trying her hardest to calm herself down. Levi nodded his head, turning on his heel and dragging Hanji out of the room with him.

Erwin sighed as he paced around in his office. Where were you? Why weren't you in his room? What the hell could be keeping you?! The blonde practically tore his hair out in worry as a knock came from his door.

"(Y/N)?" the blonde questioned as he threw the door open. To his disappointment he was met with Hanji and Levi, both not meeting his eye. "Ah, Hanji, Levi, forgive me I was expecting-,"

"Erwin," Hanji interrupted.

"Sit down," Levi ordered as they took a step into his office. Erwin looked at the two of them in confusion.

"Why? What's wrong?" the blonde inquired. His mind began filling with every single bad thing that could possibly happen but nothing could have prepared him for his worst nightmare.

Erwins' body began shaking at the words that left Levis' mouth. The blonde quickly rushed out of the room, Hanji and Levi following suite as he took off to where the injured and deceased were.

They were lying. They had to be, right? Or they were wrong. It had to be some kind of mistake. You couldn't be. You'd told him you loved him not even this morning. You promised! So... why?!
