Erwin x Reader Part 2

Your Squad was joined later that following year by none other than the quirky, crazy Hanji Zoe. The woman would often run experiments here, there and everywhere and you had a hard time controlling her and her obsession with Titans.

Erwin would often laugh at you, completely aware of your begging eyes, however, your struggles were much too satisfying for him to enjoy.

You yawned, slumping in a chair in Erwins' room. The blonde looked at you as you stared at the ceiling. He stood to his feet and walked over to you, hovering over you for a moment or two before giving a gentle smile.

You grinned. Erwin had become much more... secluded and less emotional. It seemed the more soldiers that were lost in battle the less emotional Erwin began. You often found him laying in his bed at night staring at the ceiling.

You would crawl into bed next to him and lay your head on his chest. His arms would wrap around you and for a few minutes you swear he would smile, but it would be gone as quickly as it came.

You sat up, it was rare Erwin ever smiled at your anymore. The blonde walked away from you and sat on his bed. You followed him, slinging your legs either side of him and straddling his waist.

"Why are you so happy?" you asked, placing your arms around his neck. The blonde shrugged his shoulders once. You cocked your head to the side, curious.

"It's a rare, peaceful day off," he answered, resting his chin on your shoulder, taking in your scent. You hummed, running your hands through Erwins' well-combed hair.

The blonde smiled in content. How long had it been since the two of you had a day off? Since you could sit with him without fear of being interrupted?

"Feels like forever since we've had a day to ourselves," you answered as a knock came from the door. Erwin sighed as you leaned backwards slightly, turning to look at the door.

"And I don't think we're going to have today either," Erwin muttered as the door opened. Hanji popped her head in, a massive grin appearing on her face as she saw the position the two of you were in.

"If I'm interrupting I can't come back, Shadis wants all cadets to gather in the training field," the brunette stated as she chuckled at the two of you. You rolled your eyes and jumped off of Erwins' lap.

You put your hand out, allowing Erwin to take it as the two of you walked with Hanji to the training field.

"So, why aren't you two dating yet?" the brunette question. You groaned as Erwin rolled his eyes, the two of you were getting sick of questions like that from the brunette.

"All Squad Leaders stand with your Squads!" Keith yelled a he looked around. You quickly walked to your squad, who saluted you before all of you turned to Keith and did the salute.

"Commander Shadis, Sir!" the entire Survey Corps yelled as they looked at the man.

What happened next, shocked everyone. Shadis resigned as Commander of the Survey Corps and in his place, he appointed-

"Squad Leader, Erwin Smith will take over as new commander!" everyone turned to the blonde as he walked towards the stage where Shadis stood. You grinned widely that day, offering you most heartfelt salute to your new commander, who stood tall and proud.
