Erwin x Reader Part 2

Start from the beginning

Erwin furrowed his eyebrows at your response. You? You were thinking of joining the Survey Corps? But why? You had so much to live for in Sina.

"(Y/N), please think about this. You have a family in Sina and friends. You can make a life in the MP," Erwin coaxed as he looked at you. You raised an eyebrow at the man. Never once had you gotten mad at him or raised your voice and he had never done the same. Though you couldn't deny, his words hurt.

"So could you, Erwin. You have Nile and myself after all. Granted you may not have any family anymore, you do have friends," you responded as the blonde stared at you. You were right, he knew you were, and he didn't know how to respond.

"(Y/N), all I'm saying is... think of your family," Erwin muttered as he looked at you. He wouldn't deny he was worried about you, though he didn't want to be the reason for you changing your mind.

"I've already spoken to my parents. While they aren't happy with my decision, they will support me," you replied with a small shrug. "Erwin... I've never seen a Titan. Not only do I want to confirm that they exist, I also want my life to mean something. My brother has the family business now. It's time for me to set my own path," you explained as Erwin looked at you in shock. In the years he had known you, you had always been an uplifting, light-hearted person. You had never shared your dreams and ambitions with anyone, so to say he was shocked was quite an understatement.

"Alright. Then we can join the Survey Corps together," the blonde grinned.

"Die together you mean," you replied with a wink, the two of you raising your waters in a toast.

"Oh, we're toasting, what for?" Nile questioned as he walked over to the two of you. Erwin looked at him a little worriedly.

"We just decided on our Regiments," you answered, taking a sip of water.

"Ah, you're not coming to the MP, are you?" Nile asked, he already knew the answer. He had seen the way Erwin spoke to Keith and he had seen the way you looked at Erwin, though you would never admit it.

"Nope," you and Erwin answered. You popped the 'p' rather proudly, while Erwin was hesitant of their friends' answer.

"Well, you better not die," Nile ordered, smirking at the two of you. Erwin gave him a shocked look, while you grinned widely. Nile grinned back at you, you had changed over the past few years he had known you. You stopped speaking 'prim and proper' as the two referred to it as and had grown more open throughout the few years.

You stood with Erwin and Nile in line with the top 10 of your graduating class. You, Erwin and Nile, stood at the top three as expected. You were informed that you would be carted off to the interior the following day.

However, both you and Erwin declined as Keith walked over. He welcomed the two of you with open arms into the Survey Corps. Nile hugged you tightly as you bid farewell. He ordered the two of you to continue taking care of each other since he couldn't.

You both laughed at his ordered, nodding your heads as you left with Keith, who lead you to your new homes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first year you and Erwin were in the Survey Corps, you both worked hard. Keith quickly promoted you both to Squad Leaders. You could remember Erwin being extremely happy about the promotion, though he tried to conceal his excitement from everyone. As soon as you stuck your tongue out at the man he would grin.
