"Get ready, we'll leave in about an hour," my mom said, leaving my room. She was taking my brother and I school shopping. My brothers name is Tyler, he's 17, a year older than me. School was going to start in a day and I wasn't ready.
I got ready and headed downstairs, where my mother was sitting on the couch.
"I'm ready," I announced as my brother came down the stairs. We got in the car and headed to the mall. My mom gave us the money and dropped us off so she could run errands while we were shopping. My brother and I split up.
After around 5 hours, we met up at the food court. We ate, and then my mom picked us up and we went home. I got 3 outfits, a pair of shoes, and a few extra things.
"Hey, mom, can you take me to Lea's? She wants to hang out before tomorrow," I asked. My mom nodded and she dropped me off.
Lea's one of my best friends. She has long blonde hair and she's super pretty. When I walked in, she was with her brother, Zack. He's in the same grade as my brother, but they don't like each other. Zack has had a thing for me for a long time.
"Heyyy Jadyn," zack said, smiling.
"Best friend!" Lea exclaimed.
I sat down in between Lea and Zack.
"Hi guys."
"J, we're about to go swim outback if you want to come. You can borrow one of my bathing suits," Said Lea.
I agreed and we headed upstairs to change. She handed me a black bikini and I went to her bathroom. After we changed, all three of us headed out to the pool. Yes, Lea has a pool. Most of the houses in my town are really nice.
I sat on a chair to tan for a few minutes, and Lea went inside to get drinks.
"You should get in the pool," Zack suggested, grinning wide.
I smiled. "It's probably cold."
He rolled his eyes, "not if you get used to it."
"Still, no," I said, standing up.
Zack jumped in the pool, splashing me.
"Zack! That was cold!" I yelled.
He got out and came over to me. He put his arms around me and I pulled away quickly. He was laughing.
"See, now you're wet. So get in," zack demanded.
I pushed him out of my way and jumped in, he followed. He swam over to me and put me on his shoulders. Then, he threw me off. I splashed him and he wrapped his arms around me, so I couldn't move. Lea came back out.
"Oo, get it," she said, giving me a wink. Zack let go, and both of us were blushing. I don't think I have feelings for him, but I do like flirting with him. Zack and I got out of the pool and followed Lea to the hot tub. Yes, she has a hot tub too.
"So, Jadyn, are you ready to go back to school tomorrow?" Lea asked me.
"Definitely not. What about you guys," I answered.
"Nope, we only have one class together," Lea said.
"I'm just ready to have classes with Jadyn so I can make her blush in front of everyone," Zack replied, smirking.
Lea raised her eyebrows and I rolled my eyes.
We hung out in the hot tub for about an hour.
"I'll be right back. Zack, behave," Lea said as she walked inside.
"I wasn't kidding about making you blush. You do it whenever I talk to you," said zack. I smiled at him.
I got out of the hot tub and sat on the outdoor couch. "Whatever. I'm cold, do you have a towel?" I asked, shivering. He got out of the hot tub and sat next to me. He wrapped a towel around me and I dried off.
Lea came back outside. She had changed out of her bathing suit and back into her clothes. "Guys, I have to go pick up my boyfriend. Zack, will you make sure she gets home? I'll see you tomorrow Jadyn," Lea said.
Zack nodded and looked at me. "Go get dressed, we're going on an adventure."
I went up to Leas room and put on my black tank top, high waisted jean shorts, and my yellow vans. When I went back downstairs, Zack was waiting at the door. We headed to his car.
"Where are we going?" I questioned.
"Just to the park. I don't feel like taking you home yet."
When we got to the park , we sat at a table. There was a group of people from our school playing football, but none of them saw us.
"So, I have to tell you something. I mean, you already know but I've never actually told you," Zack explained. My heart beat sped up. Not for any reason, I just get nervous when people say things like that.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Okay so," Zack started to tell me what he was going to say, but was interrupted by my brother.
"Jadyn! What are you doing with him?" Tyler asked, glaring at Zack. I told him to go away and he got angry, but eventually he went back to playing football.
"Sorry about him. Anyways, what were you going to tell me?"
"Uh, well you already know but I have feelings for you," Zack said. "I know you don't feel the same about me, but I was wondering if maybe we could, uh, talk more."
I smiled, "I'd like that."
